Safety instructions for work with the sprayer

  • Prevent your body from coming into direct contact with chemicals or the inhalation of the sprayed agents. If this happens, follow the instructions of the chemical agent‘s manufacturer and seek medical assistance.
  • Never spray people, animals and electrical equipment.
  • In the event that you feel unwell during work, stop working and seek out a doctor.
  • Use appropriate eye, ear and respiratory tract protection, protective clothing and footwear during work.
  • When working with the sprayer, do not smoke and do not work in areas with open flames.
  • Work with the sprayer when you are in good physical condition, relaxed and healthy.
  • Always maintain a stable body stance and only work with the sprayer when standing of a rigid, save and even surface. Slippery or unstable surfaces may cause loss of balance and injury as a result of a fall or slipping.
  • Never spray in the direction towards other people, animals or objects. When working, ensure that people and animals are at a sufficient distance from the worklocation.
  • Never use the sprayer for other purposes than those for which it is intended (spraying of paints, disinfection or impregnation agents, storage of chemicals, etc.).
  • Do not work with the sprayer in enclosed areas and in locations without sufficient ventilation, as this presents a poisoning hazard. Always ensure sufficient ventilation during work.
  • Always ensure that chemical substances do not enter public sewage lines, the earth, ground and surface water sources. Collect any remaining spray agents in suitable containers and take these to a hazardous waste collection/ disposal point. You can find information about these collection points at your local town council office.
  • Never use the sprayer when it is windy or raining, so that pollution of a wider area by the spray agent is prevented, or that in the event of unfavorable wind the spray agent is not inhaled.
  • When you have finished working with the sprayer or before replacing the spray agent for a different one, thoroughly rinse out the tank with clean water and also flush out all parts of the sprayer that came in contact with the spray agent.
  • When you have finished using the sprayer, take off your work clothing and thoroughly wash your hands and face with soap and water. Regularly wash the work clothing.
  • Store the sprayer in a dry place at a temperature range from 5 to 35°C and away from children.
  • Do not pour unusable chemical solutions into the environment, but rather take them to a hazardous waste collection facility in a durable, non-leak container.

Preparing the spray agent

ATTENTION

  • For preparing the spray solutions, only use agents that are water soluble or that can be dissolved in water, that are intended for use in garden sprayers. Do not use agents that create emulsions, suspensions in water or that have corrosive effects (disinfectants, bleaches or agents with an acidic or alkaline characteristic, etc.) and could thus cause damage to parts of the sprayer.
  • Only use such chemical agents for preparing the spray solutions that are permitted in the given country.
  • Use the chemical agents used for preparing spray solutions according to the instructions of the manufacturer.
  • Never prepare the spray solution and mix it directly in the tank of the sprayer, but rather use a separate container to prepare it.
  • Always ensure that the temperature of the prepared spray solution is not higher than 40°C, otherwise the sprayer may be damaged.
