AP 700 Air Purifier

WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
The unit must be electrically grounded. Use only on GFCI protected
receptacles.
Connect to a properly grounded outlet only. Do not cut off the grounding
prong. Do not use with an adapter. Do not use with extension cords. Do not use
with damaged cord or plug. If unit is not working as it should, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or exposed to water, return it to an
authorized service center for repair. Unplug cord from outlet when not in use
or when servicing unit.

Do not handle plug or unit with wet hands.
Do not operate unit in standing water.
BREATHING HAZARD
When using the HEPA 700 in a containment area, turn off all sources of power
to open combustion appliances such as fireplaces, boilers, furnaces, water
heaters and HVAC systems to avoid the risk of backdrafting deadly carbon
monoxide fumes.
SKIN OR EYE HAZARD
Skin or eye damage may result from directly viewing the light produced by
the lamp in this apparatus. Always disconnect power before relamping or
servicing. Replace with UVC frame #124560, a MediClean Healthcare product of
Legend Brands.
**** This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or
more of the following
measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected
- Consult dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help

FEATURES AND OPERATION
UV Light Cartridge – Helps prevent cross-contamination from bacteria on the
HEPA filter.
Electrical Outlets – Connect up to eight (8) AP 700s on a 15amp circuit on the
lowest speed; four (4) on the highest speed.
Command Hub Technology – Integrates with the free Dri-Eaz Command Center Pro
mobile app enables firmware updates and 24/7 control. (Download from Apple and
Google Play stores.)
Setup
- Unwrap the cord completely.
- Place the AP 700 with the handle up or on back. Ensure that neither the inlet nor the outlet are obstructed.
- Plug into a standard 115V GFCI-protected outlet.
- Remove cover before operating.
FILTERS
**** To prevent skin or eye damage from the UV light, always disconnect power
before changing filters, relamping or servicing.
Use Legend Brands AP 700 filters only (see Filter Options below). Using other
filters will reduce filtration effectiveness.
Control panel indicates when the HEPA primary filter needs to be replaced. Do
not attempt to clean and reuse filters. Dispose of contaminated filters per
local, state and federal regulations.
Replacing the Prefilter
When using the unit in environments with a high volume of airborne particles,
the prefilter should be replaced more frequently to help preserve the life of
the HEPA filter.
- Lay unit on its back and release the four (4) buckles. Lift off the filter door.
- Remove the prefilter from the filter door and discard.
- Insert new prefilter into filter door. Ensure that the prefilter is seated properly on the retention tabs.
- Replace filter assembly on unit and reattach four buckles.
Replacing the HEPA Primary Filter
IMPORTANT: Do not clean and reuse the HEPA filter. Always replace the
prefilter and remove the UV light cartridge when replacing the HEPA filter.
See “Changing Filters” below.
- Unplug cord from outlet, lay unit on its back and release the four (4) buckles. Lift off the filter door.
- Remove the prefilter from the filter door and discard.
- Remove the UV light module.
- Replace HEPA primary filter carefully, as filter is easily damaged. Do not use a filter if damaged.
- To reinstall the UV light module, hook frame onto tabs near bottom of unit then snap into place.
- Place new prefilter(s) in filter door. Replace filter cover and lock the four buckles securely.
Changing Filters
UVC CARTRIDGE
Replacing the UVC Frame
**** Skin or eye damage may result from directly viewing the light produced
by the lamp in this apparatus. Always disconnect power before relamping or
servicing.
Replace with UVC frame #124560, a MediClean Healthcare product from Legend
Brands.
When the UVC frame service hours timer reaches zero, follow these instructions
to change the UVC frame:
- Power off and unplug unit.
- Unlatch and remove the filter cover and the prefilter.
- Un-snap the frame from the HEPA filter by pulling on the tabs on the upper corners of the frame. As the frame hinges away it will unhook from the bottom of the HEPA filter.
- Line up the two rectangular holes on the bottom side of the new UVC frame with the two tabs on the bottom edge of the HEPA filter.
- With the frame engaged on the lower HEPA filter tabs as a hinge, snap the top of the frame onto the upper tabs of the HEPA filter.
- Replace the front filter door and prefilter.
- Plug the unit in and power on. Look for the lightbulb icon in the upper left corner of the control screen to verify they UVC is operating properly.
DUCTING OPTIONS
Inlet: 14 in. wire reinforced ducting (purchased separately).
Outlet: 14 in.(diameter) layflat or wire reinforced ducting (purchased
separately) using the provided duct attachment ring. Do not exceed a maximum
ducting length of 25 ft. / 7.6 m.
FILTER OPTIONS
Standard air scrubbing: For high particle loads, eg, construction or remodeling sites.
