Lindab Access Door ESHU

Product Information: LindabAccess Door ESHU

LindabAccess Door ESHU is a type of access door that is designed to provide easy access for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of duct systems. The access door has a handle that allows for easy opening and closing of the door. It also has turned-over edges and rubber gaskets that help create an airtight seal to prevent duct leakage. The access doors are available in different levels of fire protection, which are specified on the label found on the access door. The fire class of the access door needs to be the same or higher than that of the connecting ventilation system. The installation of the access door may require a specific safety distance from inflammable materials, and it is important to check the datasheet for more information.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installing the LindabAccess Door ESHU, please ensure that you have read and understood these instructions. Follow the steps below for proper installation:

  1. Ensure that the rubber gasket’s first lip is in contact with the duct’s edge all the way around and points straight out so that the lip is not twisted in any direction.
  2. Twist the access door slightly to aid insertion and push the rest of the fitting into the duct.
  3. If required, check the safety distance from inflammable materials specified on the label found on the access door.
  4. If lining the duct system with fire-resistant material, ensure that the cleaning cover, joint in insulation, insulation sealed tight around casing, and edge of cover are checked for any gaps.
  5. If there are any gaps or damages, please contact a professional installer to fix them.

Fire protection assembly

  • Access door with different levels of fire protection are avaliable, the fire class is specified on the label found on the access door.
  • In some cases, the fire class requires placement of the access door at a specific safety distance from inflammable materials. The fire protection class of access doors needs to be the the same or higher than for the connecting ventilation system.
See the datasheet for more information.

When lining the duct system with fire-resistant material, check the following:

  • that the insulation forms a tight seal around the casing of the cleaning covers/access doors. The risk of gaps occuring is particularily significant if insulation with joints is applied to the cleaning covers/access doors

  • that the insluation is level with the edge between the cleaning cover´s/access door´s casing and top

  • Most of us spend the majority of our time indoors.

  • Indoor climate is crucial to how we feel, how productive we are and if we stay healthy.

  • We at Lindab have therefore made it our most important objective to contribute to an indoor climate that improves people’s lives.
