Getting Started

Lunch EAZE is an automatic, self-heated Lunchbox. Food goes in the provided stainless steel food container, and the base will heat your food according to your schedule.

  1. Pack your food. Use the provided stainless steel container, and make sure the lid is closed tight. Insert it into the Lunch EAZE base, and latch the top.
  2. Set the clock. When you first turn on Lunch EAZE, it will prompt you to set the time of day. This only has to be done the first time. Double-check the AM/PM!
  3. Set a meal time. Use the “Set Meal Time” option (or the mobile app) to tell Lunch EAZE when you’d like to eat. Heat auto-starts 2 hours prior to this. Lunch EAZE remembers your set mealtime the next day, until you change it. Leave Lunch EAZE powered ON for it to auto start. Look for the  green LED on the front face.
  4. Enjoy your meal. Lunch EAZE will have your food hot and ready by your mealtime. It’ll also stay on to keep your food hot while you eat.

User Guide: Setting Clock

  • Lunch EAZE’s clock needs to be set the first time it is powered on. This only needs to be done once.

  • It is essential that your Lunch EAZE’s clock is set to the correct time in order for meal timers to work properly. Check to make sure the AM/PM setting is correct.

  • You can always see LunchEAZE’s current time at the top-left of the screen.
    Manually setting Clock:

  • Select the “Adjust Clock” menu option

  • Use Up and Down to adjust the time, use ENTER to switch between hours and minutes.

  • Use UP to confirm when prompted.

User Guide: Setting Meal Time

  • Lunch EAZE will automatically heat your food according to your set meal time. Once set, Lunch EAZE will remember your mealtime settings until you change it.
  • The “HEAT START” TIME is 2 hours earlier than your set “meal time”, and is displayed at the top right of the screen.
  • If you selected 12:30 pm as a mealtime, then 10:30 am is what will be shown on screen.
  • Manually setting Meal Time:
  • Select the “Set Meal Time” menu option.
  • Use Up and Down to adjust the time, use ENTER to switch between hours and minutes.
  • Use UP to confirm when prompted.
  • NOTE: Since LunchEAZE takes 2 hours to heat, if you select a mealtime within 2 hours, it’ll start right away.
  • LUNCHEAZE MUST BE POWERED ON FOR THE AUTOSTART TO WORK. Look for the green PWR  light on the front.

6 User Guide: Heating Mode

  • When heating, Lunch EAZE displays the temperature of the hotplate and the time the heating began. You may hear a periodic “click” from the unit– this is normal.
  • CAUTION: HEATING SURFACES WILL NOW BE HIGH TEMPERATURE. USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING.
  • The hotplate temperature reading doesn’t reflect the exact temperature of your food. Typically the hotplate is slightly hotter than the food itself.
  • Luch EAZE will continue to heat while you eat your food, so that it remains hot. Leave the food container inserted and your food will remain hot.
  • If no food is present, Lunch EAZE will reach temperature limits, and will shut itself off within 30 minutes.

FAQ

  • Factory Reset: Hold the POWER button until the timer reaches 0. Keep holding POWER and now hold ENTER.
The screen will turn off, and you can let go of the buttons. The unit will have its settings reset.

  • Battery: The battery lasts for 2.5 hours of heating (1 meal), charges in 3 hours, and can be charged while the device is heating (charging will take longer in this case).

  • Bluetooth: Lunch EAZE uses Bluetooth 4.0, or “Bluetooth Low Energy” (BLE). If your phone is newer than 2011, it likely supports it.

  • App: The app IS NOT necessary to use Lunch EAZE. It adds the ability to rename and leave a message, and makes setup more convenient, but Lunch EAZE’s timer
and heating features can be used in manual mode.

  • Cleaning: Lunch EAZE’s main body is not waterproof. Clean spills with a damp cloth. The food container, however, is totally dishwasher safe.

  • Food Types: Lunch EAZE can handle any type of food, including soups, whether or not they’re frozen. FOR BEST RESULTS, let frozen food defrost slightly in the
    fridge the night before.

  • Food Storage: Lunch EAZE does not refrigerate your food, although the insulated bag helps control temperatures. We do not recommend keeping perishable foods in Lunch EAZE for long periods of time.

  • Food Temperature: Lunch EAZE heats to a maximum of 220°F

Helpful Tips

  • Food not hot enough?

  • Lunch EAZE heats from the bottom up. We recommend putting proteins on the bottom, and lighter items like vegetables or rice on top.

  • Use the insulated bag! The insulation traps the heat, and increases the temperature of the food.

  • Frozen Food?

  • Lunch EAZE can handle frozen foods, but for best results let them defrost in the fridge overnight, or pack them with a few hours before heating begins.

  • Food too hot?

  • Use the heat setting option to turn down the maximum heat. Set it once and your setting will be saved until you change it again.

  • Want two meals?

  • The Lunch EAZE battery is designed to handle one meal, but if you want two in a day, we made the battery replaceable. Or, leave your Lunch EAZE plugged in and
    battery won’t be depleted.

  • Convenience features:

  • Lunch EAZE remembers your set mealtime. Just turn it on and it’ll be ready to go with yesterday’s settings.

  • Leave your food container inside Lunch EAZE while you eat– Lunch EAZE will actively keep your food hot while you eat.

  • Customize your Lunch EAZE :

  • Using the free mobile app (Android or iOS), you can customize the name and message that appears on your Lunch EAZE.

Troubleshooting

  • Bluetooth won’t connect
  • Check the Bluetooth icon on the screen. If it’s blue, it’s already connected to something and won’t be found by the app.
  • Minimizing your app sometimes leaves the unit connected in the background, and will not connect again. Completely close out the app to disconnect fully, or restart the unit.
  • If the Bluetooth icon is red, Lunch EAZE should be ready to connect. Check to see that your phone’s Bluetooth is on. ONLY try to connect through the LunchEAZE app, not your Bluetooth menu.
  • My Lunch EAZE’s screen is frozen or white, and isn’t responding
  • Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, and release. The unit should shut off. Try turning on again.
  • If holding the power button for 10 seconds doesn’t turn the unit off, then use a paperclip to press the RESET button through the small hole beneath the UP button.
  • My food isn’t hot enough
  • Check that the unit was actually heating up by looking for the HEAT LED on the front of the unit, and for the display to indicate heating mode. Test this feature with the “Heat Now” option.
  • Ensure that your food container is FLAT against the hot plate, and that it is securely latched in. Clean the bottom of the food container and heat plate to ensure good contact.
  • Use the insulated bag to increase heat.
  • Carefully check both the Current Time and the Heat Start Time (top left and top right of the screen). Ensure that both times are correct (check AM and PM!)
  • My unit isn’t charging fully, or it is turning off too early.
  • Plug the charger in and check the blue charge LED on the front, and the lightning bolt on screen. If it does not appear, your charger may be damaged.
  • Verify that the charger is active by looking for the green light on the charger brick itself.
  • If the charger is okay, you’ll need to try resetting the battery. Visit luncheaze.com/troubleshooting for details For more details, visit Luncheaze.com/troubleshooting
