Installation Guide
INSTALLATION – LEVEL VIDEO DOORBELL
M1 Video Doorbell
Doorbell hardware (in box):
Tools needed: T8 Security screwdriver, Voltmeter, Phillips screwdriver, Drill & 3/32″ bit.
Step 1:
First, ring the existing doorbell and note the chime location. If there is no
functional chime, proceed to troubleshooting.
Step 2:
Check voltage at the wires on the doorbell, voltage must be 16-24 VAC. OR
check the transformer’s rating.
Step 3 :
If voltage is not in range, install a transformer with 16-24 VAC, 30-40 VA .
Follow the transformer manufacturer’s instructions for installing the
transformer.
Step 4 :
After confirming the voltage is 16 – 24 VAC / replacing with the
recommended transformer. Proceed to the installer app for adding the video
doorbell to the unit.
Step 5 :
In the Installer app, go to the current unit number.
Select ‘Add Level Video doorbell’
Step 6:
Scan the Serial Number QR code located in the rectangular box on the back of
the Level Video doorbell.

Step 7:
Turn off the breaker. **Remove the chime cover and note the wire connection
locations. Step 8: Loosen the screws of the chime wires.
Insert the Power kit connectors to the chime connectors with wire connections.
Place the Power kit at a location that will not hamper placing the cover back
on. Step 9: Put the cover of the chime back on and proceed to the door
bell.
Be mindful of placing the power kit in a location which will not interfere
with the cover.
Step 10: Place
the mounting plate against the wall. Ensure the wires can pass through the
rectangular hole in the mounting plate. Mark the location of the mounting
screw holes.
Step 11: Drill holes for the mounting plate anchors.
Step 12: Screw in the mounting screws and adjust the the mounting plate
to be square.
Loosen the mounting plate contact screws and connect doorbell wires. Step
13: Install the video door bell on the mounting plate.
Hook the video doorbell to the top of the mounting plate and ease it in at the
bottom. Step 14: Fasten the T8 security screw at the bottom of the video
doorbell using a T8 security screwdriver.
Note : A T8 security screwdriver has a hole in its center.
Step 15: Turn the breaker back on.
Step 16: Check the doorbell LED’s The indicator LED below the camera
should be solid white.
The LED ring at the center of the gray button should be solid orange.
Step 17: Press the bottom gray button.
You should hear a soft tone on the doorbell . You should also hear a ring at
the chime in the apartment. If not, proceed to troubleshooting
The installation of the Video doorbell is now complete.
** The Video doorbell is ready to be connected to the residents Wi-Fi. The
resident can now sign up for the service and activate the Video doorbell’s
functionality using the ‘Resident App’
Troubleshooting :
There is no mechanical chime in the apartment.
Do not install the doorbell at this time & report this issue to Dwell Care by
calling 415-582-6701.
The voltage on the doorbell is out of range.
Do not install the doorbell at this time & report this issue to Dwell Care by
calling 415-582-6701. We will create a
ticket to have a replacement transformer installed.
The LED lights did not light up as described.
Do not install the doorbell at this time & report this issue to WellCare by
calling 415-582-6701.

should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the
radiator & your body.
Note: The country code selection is for non-US model only and is not
available to all US model. Per FCC regulation, all WiFi product marketed in US
must fixed to US operation channels only.
