MINCO S207595 Non-Sparking Temperature Detectors
Product Information Non-Sparking Temperature Detectors
The Non-Sparking Temperature Detectors are designed to measure the temperature of bearings in hazardous environments. They are certified to be used in explosive gas atmospheres and can detect temperatures ranging from T3 to T6. The detectors come in different models, including S207595, S207596, S207597, S207598, TC207600, TC207601, TC207602, and TC207603. Each model has specific installation instructions and electrical data.
- Attestation of Conformity : The product conforms to the harmonized standard EN IEC 60079-0:2018 and is certified by DEKRA IECEx DEK 11.0001X and DEKRA 14ATEX0008 X DEKRA Certification B.V.
- Installation Instructions: The temperature detector should be installed in a bearing to complete the enclosure and provide protection from mechanical impact. Separate installation instructions are included with each shipment, and copies can be downloaded from the Minco website (www.minco.com/support).
- Electrical Data : The electrical data for S___ models include measuring current of 1 mA and power (under fault conditions) of 0.45 W.
- Special Conditions of Use: The Temperature Detectors should be installed in an enclosure with a degree of protection of at least IP54 according to EN 60529, taking into account the environmental conditions under which the equipment will be used.
- Electrical Connections : The electrical connections for S__ models include 2-lead, 3-lead, and 4-lead connections and for TC___ models include Type E, Type J, Type K, and Type T connections.
- Marking Example : The marking example includes II 3 G Ex nA IIC T3…T6 Gc, IECEx Ex nA IIC T3…T6 Gc, and ISA Class I Zone 2 AEx nA IIC T6.
Product Usage Instructions
- Read the product manual carefully before installation and usage.
- Choose the appropriate model based on the type of bearing and the environmental conditions.
- Install the temperature detector in the bearing according to the specific installation instructions provided with the shipment or downloaded from the Minco website.
- Ensure that the temperature detector is installed in an enclosure with a degree of protection of at least IP54 according to EN 60529 and taking into account the environmental conditions under which the equipment will be used.
- Make the electrical connections according to the specific electrical data provided for each model.
- Ensure that the marking example on the product matches the certification and use requirements.
- Monitor the temperature readings regularly to detect any abnormalities or malfunctions.
- Maintain and calibrate the temperature detector regularly to ensure accurate readings and optimal performance.
Description
These temperature detectors are designed to be installed in babbitt style bearing shoes. Operating temperature range -50°C to 200°C. S models are available for 2-, 3-, or 4-wire measurement circuits and with single or dual resistance temperature detector (RTD) elements. TC models are available with single or dual thermocouple elements

Installation Instructions
The installation of the temperature detector in a bearing completes the enclosure and provides the protection from mechanical impact. A separate installation instruction is included with each shipment. If lost, a copy can be downloaded from the Minco website (www.minco.com/support). The instruction(s) for each model is as follows:
- S207595, TC207600: EI 164 Installing Case Style “A” Sensors in Sleeve Bearings, or EI 167 Installing Case Style “A” Sensors in Thrust Bearings.
- S207596, TC207601, S207598, TC207603 : EI 180 Installing Case Style “B” Sensors in Thrust Bearings (Babbitt), or EI 181 Installing Case Style “B” Sensors in Thrust Bearings (Spring and Ring).
- S207597, TC207602 : EI 184 Installing Case Style “C” and “D” Sensors in Bearing Shoes.

Electrical data for S___ models only : Measuring current: ≤ 1 mA Power (under fault conditions): ≤ 0.45 W
Special Conditions of Use
The Temperature Detectors shall be installed in a suitable enclosure providing a degree of protection of at least IP54 according to EN 60529, taking into account the environmental conditions under which the equipment will be used.
