SAFETY ADVICE AND WARNINGS

  • Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe these instructions could lead to an accident.

  • Clean all the parts of the product that will be in contact with food, as indicated in the cleaning section, before use.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or understand the hazards involved.

  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

  • This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • This appliance is not intended to be operated with an external timer, separate remote control system or other device that automatically switches it on.

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

  • This appliance is for household use only, not professional, industrial use.

  • The outer surfaces of the product may get hot when the appliance is operating.
    This symbol indicates that the surface may get hot during use.

  • Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.

  • Connect the appliance to an earthed socket capable of withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.

  • The appliance’s plug must fit into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.

  • Do not pull the supply cord. Never use the supply cord to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.

  • Do not allow the supply cord to hang or to come into contact with the hot surfaces of the appliance.

  • Check the state of the supply cord. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.

  • Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

  • Do not use the appliance if the supply cord or plug is damaged.

  • If the appliance enclosure breaks, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.

  • Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage.

  • Keep the working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.

  • Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area.

  • Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as cooking plates, gas burners, ovens or similar.

  • Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, stable surface, suitable for withstanding high temperatures and away from other heat sources and contact with water.

  • CAUTION: In order to prevent overheating do not cover the appliance.

  • Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.

  • Do not leave the appliance out in the rain or exposed to moisture. If water gets into the appliance, this will increase the risk of electric shock.

  • Do not use the appliance in the case of persons insensitive to heat (the appliance has heated surfaces).

  • Do not touch the heated parts of the appliance, as it may cause serious burns.

  • Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.

  • If the model of your appliance does not have the accessories described above, they can also be bought separately from the Technical Assistance Service.

Use and care:

  • Fully unroll the appliance’s supply cord before each use.
  • Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fitted.
  • Do not use the appliance if the accessories attached to it are defective. Replace them immediately.
  • Do not use the appliance when empty.
  • Do not use the appliance if the timer is not operating correctly.
  • Do not move the appliance while in use.
  • To keep the non-stick coating in good condition, do not use metal or pointed utensils on it.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task.
  • Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or those with reduced physical, sensory, or mental cabilities or who are unfamiliar with its use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE BEFORE USE:

  • Make sure that all the product’s packaging material has been removed.
  • Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section.

Use:

  • Unroll the supply cord completely before plugging it in.
  • Connect the appliance to an earthed mains socket.
  • The control panel ON button will light up.
  • Pull out the outer pan and place the ingredients you wish to fry, roast or cook into the frying basket.
  • Put the outer pan back into the appliance.
  • Note: Never use the outer pan without the frying basket inside it.
  • Note: Always handle the outer pan by means of the frying basket and its handle. Do not touch it if it is hot.
  • Press the power button on the control panel, you will see the control panel light up.
  • NOTE: If you unplug the appliance with a programme selected, it will light up with that programme when you switch it on again.

Temperature and time

  • You can change the temperature and time by pressing the corresponding plus and minus symbols (6) and alternate between the time and temperature settings by pressing the temp/time button (7).

Pre-set programs

  • This appliance has 12 preset programmes.
  • To select the programme, press the corresponding buttons (5.1 ­ 5.12).
  • NOTE: The preheat programme can only be selected after selecting one of the other programmes.
  • *The temperature and time parameters of the pre-set programmes can also be modified if desired.
  • Once you have selected the programme, press the start button to start heating. You will see that the operation indicator lights will go into preheat mode if you have not modified it previously.
  • To change the settings during the course of the pre-set programme, pause first by pressing the stop/cancel button (3), you will be reminded which programme you have selected by the programme flashing and you will be able to change the desired time and temperature as described in the “Temperature and time” section.
  • NOTE: You will see that for some programmes the turn option lights up, which will cause the appliance to prompt the user to shake the food.
  • NOTE: You will notice that the appliance switches off if you remove the outer pan at any time during cooking and switches on as soon as you put it back in.
  • The fryer will beep when the cooking time has finished.
  • Check to see that the food is cooked.
  • If it is not, you only have to put the outer pan back in the fryer and program the timer to cook for a few more minutes as described “Time and temperature” section.
  • Once cooking has finished, take the whole outer pan part out of the appliance. The appliance will switch itself off automatically.
  • CAUTION: both the outer pan and the frying basket, as well as the food, will be VERY hot.
  • Place the outer pan on a surface that will withstand high temperatures.
  • Separate the frying basket from the outer pan by using the basket release button and then tip the food out without any risk of burning yourself.

Once you have finished using the appliance:

  • Unplug the appliance from the mains.
  • Allow the appliance to cool.
  • Clean the appliance as described in the “Cleaning” section.

Safety thermal protector

  • The appliance has a safety device, which protects the appliance from overheating.
  • If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself on again, unplug it from the mains supply and wait approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting it. If it fails to switch on again, take it to one of the authorised technical assistance services.

CLEANING

  • Unplug the appliance from the mains and let it cool before performing any cleaning task.
  • Clean the equipment using a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
  • Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, or place it under a running tap.
  • It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains.
  • If the appliance is not kept clean, its surface may deteriorate, which will inevitably shorten the appliance’s useful life, as well as making it unsafe to use.
  • The outer pan and the frying basket are suitable for the dishwasher.
  • Next, dry all the parts before fitting them together and storing.

ANOMALIES AND REPAIR

  • Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if problems arise. Do not try to dismantle or repair without assistance, as this may be dangerous.

  • The materials of which the packaging of this appliance consists are included in a collection, classification and recycling system. Should you wish to dispose of them, use the appropriate public containers for each type of material.
  • The product does not contain concentrations of substances that could be considered harmful to the environment.
    This symbol means that in case you wish to dispose of the product once its working life has ended, take it to an authorised waste agent for the selective collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
