PRINCIPLES OF SAFE USE

CAUTION! Please read this chapter carefully in order to minimize the possibility of injury or accident caused by improper handling or ignorance of the Safety Regulations. The device may only be used by a person who has read and understood the operating instructions carefully.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  2. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

    • Do not touch the product immediately after drying to avoid burns. Residual heat remains on the surface of the heating element even after use.

    • This product is not a toy. Keep children under supervision when the appliance is in operation
    • Do not use accessories that are not included.
    • If the power cable is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer or by a service centre authorised by the manufacturer or by similar qualified personnel in order to avoid any danger.

USE

SWITCHING THE DEVICE ON AND OFF, USING THE DEVICE.

  • Make sure your hands are dry before operating the unit.
  • The speed at which footwear dries depends on the conditions of use, the humidity and the season.
  • When the power is on, the indicator light will illuminate and the product housing will heat up. It is a completely normal phenomenon
  • Evaporation of moisture is normal during the drying process.
  • The product is suitable for damp or slightly wet, but not dripping/leaking water. It is also suitable for socks that have been pre-dried in the washing machine.
  • There may be an unpleasant odour when drying shoes and socks. Keep your boots and boot dryer in a well-ventilated area.

Unwind the power cord of the appliance and put its casing into your shoes or socks, then plug the appliance into the mains. The casing will automatically heat up to a temperature that is safe for shoes. Wait until your shoes are dry. When this happens, disconnect the appliance from the mains and wait until it has cooled down. After this, safely remove the device from your shoes.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CLEANING OF THE RIGID PARTS OF THE APPLIANCE

  • Cleaning may only take place when the appliance is switched off, the power cord is disconnected from the mains and the appliance casing has cooled down.
  • No part of the device may be submerged in water.
  • Do not use sharp tools or aggressive cleaning agents, including concentrated dishwashing liquids, milks and scrubbing pastes, to clean heavy dirt.
  • The device may only be cleaned with a dry cloth, brush or paper towel. In case of heavy dirt you can use a slightly damp cloth and let the device dry after cleaning.

The device does not switch on| Check the correct connection to the power supply.

Check whether the electrical outlet is damaged – select another one. Check that the plug or power cord is not damaged.

If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer’s service department.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

  • STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT
    If you are not going to use the device for a long time, after disconnecting it from the power supply store it in a dry room away from heat and moisture sources. It is best to place the device in its original packaging, away from children and pets.

  • TRANSPORT OF THE DEVICE
    When handling, only carry the unit after it has been switched off, holding it securely by the housing, once it has cooled down. Do not expose the device to high temperatures or moisture.
    It is recommended to transport the device in its original packaging. Do not expose the unit to excessive vibration or shock during transportation.

WARRANTY AND SERVICE

The product is covered by a 2-year warranty, counting from the date of sale of the product. If you need to make use of a warranty claim, please contact the manufacturer’s helpline or point of sale. The product returned for warranty claim should be complete and best in its original packaging.
