Bunsen Burner Teclu Type 16 x 170 mm

IMPORTANT: read the information contained in the present manual before using the product. The manufacturer does not acknowledge any responsibility for an improper use of the equipment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • The structure of the bunsen burner is made of chromed brass.
  • The bunsen is equipped with a tap with a safety pin.
  • All the “sekur flame” and “sekur flame poligas” bunsen burners are provided with thermocouple-controlled and safety valve to cut off the gas supply in case of accidental extinguishment of the flame.
  • The support base is made of nickel-plated steel and colored with an epoxy paint resistant to acid agents. Furthermore, a PVC ring has been added to the base to protect the surfaces.
  • All the bunsen burners are supplied with a technical data sheet which shows the technical specifications and certifies that they have been tested.

START THE OPERATION
Do not start to use the product before reading the instructions for use.
DANGER WARNING
To prevent any accidents caused by improper use of the product, please follow the following safety rules

SAFETY RULES

The installation of the bunsen to the gas network must possibly be carried out by an authorized installer. Before installing the bunsen to the gas network, make sure that the gas pressure is adequate (refer to the technical data sheet supplied with the devices). Make sure before you connect the burner to the network that the tap screw is closed. Make sure the gas hose is properly connected to the hose holder and that there are no gas leaks. Do not connect the Bunsen to the gas network without having first installed a pressure reducer. Do not connect the bunsen directly to gas bottle. Do not modify/tamper with the bunsen in any way.

IGNITION INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE NOTE:
For models with pilot light, before proceeding with the instructions below, turn the knob that adjusts the intensity of the PILOT LIGHT completely clockwise.

SIMPLE BUNSEN BURNER IGNITION

  • Turn the air adjustment bushing completely closed (in the case of Meker / Teclu bunsen burners, use the washer located at the base of the “bell” by turning it anticlockwise)
  • Only for Poligas models: Turn the ring nut on which the air bush rests by one turn anticlockwise (in the case of Meker / Teclu poligas bunsen, turn the “bell” by one turn anticlockwise)
  • Turn the knob of the gas inlet cock one turn anticlockwise
  • To trigger the ignition, place an open flame or piezoelectric lighter on top of the bunsen
  • Proceed with gradual opening of the gas; turn the air adjustment ring until the desired flame is obtained (in the case of Meker / Teclu bunsen burners, use the washer located at the base of the “bell” by turning it clockwise)
  • Only for Poligas models: rotate the ring nut on which the air bush rests to obtain a flame suitable for your needs (in the case of Meker / Teclu bunsen poligas rotate the “bell”)

IGNITION BUNSEN BURNER “SEKUR FLAME” (WITH SAFETY VALVE)

  • Turn the air adjustment bushing completely closed (in the case of Meker / Teclu bunsen burners, use the washer located at the base of the “bell” by turning it anticlockwise). Please note: in the case of versions equipped with piezoelectric ignition keep the air adiustment bushing completely open
  • Only for Poligas models: Turn the ring nut on which the air bush rests by one turn anticlockwise (in the case of Meker / Teclu poligas bunsen, turn the “bell” by one turn anticlockwise)
  • Turn the knob of the gas inlet cock one turn anticlockwise, the safety valve will not allow gas to enter
  • Pressing the spring-loaded button of the valve causes the gas to come out of the upper part of the bunsen burner
  • To trigger the ignition, place an open flame or piezoelectric lighter on top of the bunsen
  • Press and hold the valve button for at least 10 seconds to allow the thermocouple to reach operating temperature

BUNSEN IGNITION WITH PILOT LIGHT

If you are using a bunsen with a pilot light (whether it is a simple bunsen or a “sekur flame”), after lighting the bunsen following the previous instructions, turn the knob that adjusts the pilot light intensity a little counterclockwise. Once the flame has lit, choose the desired intensity by turning the knob.
SAFETY VALVE INTERVENTION (BUNSEN “SEKUR FLAME”)
If the flame should go out due to accidental causes, in about 50 seconds, due to the lowering of the temperature of the thermocouple spout placed near the flame, the safety valve will intervene by interrupting the output of the gas.
