CAUTION!
Please note that during inflation and deflation, due to air velocity the tire
inflator cannot provide perfectly accurate readings.
CAUTION!
Before using, please take a minute to read and become familiar with this user
guide in order to get the best results from your purchase.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
if safety directions are not adhered to, physical injury or damage to both the
tire inflator and your vehicle could occur.
Please always follow these safety instructions when operating the compressor.
PERSONAL SAFETY
- When operating the compressor always ensure that you are parked in a safe location, off the road with the vehicle handbrake on and where your personal safety is not at risk.
- Do not use the compressor when the vehicle is moving.
- Do not leave the compressor to operate unattended.
- Do not allow the compressor to become wet or dusty.
- Do not position the compressor near flammable liquids or gases.
- When the compressor is not in use, store in a dry place, away from children in the bag provided.
OPERATIONAL SAFETY
IMPORTANT!
-
Power required: 12 volts DC rated at 10 amps. Check in owner’s manual whether your vehicle cigarette lighter power socket is fused to 10 amps. If the fuse is below 10 amps on your vehicle, DO NOT use the compressor at all.
-
The compressor is not designed to be left running for an extended period as this will overheat the unit and damage the compressor. If the unit has been running continuously for over 10 minutes, turn it off and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before resuming.
-
It is recommended to leave your vehicle engine running during operation to achieve full power and preserve your battery. Always plug in the inflator power socket BEFORE connecting to the vehicle tire and then turning on the air compressor. As the inflator runs at 120W, there is a risk that overcurrent may blow the car fuse if you plug in the compressor while the power switch is turned ON and connected to the tire.
IMPORTANT! -
CORRECT OPERATING SEQUENCE:
- Connect the power cable to your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket with the car engine running.
- Connect the air hose to the tire valve (current pressure is shown).
- Turn the compressor power switch to ON to begin inflation.
- Turn to OFF once the desired pressure is reached on the display.
- Disconnect the inflator taking care as it may have become hot.
-
Inflation of most common car tires to normal operating pressure using this tire inflator should take between 2-3 minutes. If you notice the meter pressure increasing very rapidly during inflation, it could indicate a blockage and no air is not being injected into the tire. If this happens, it is vital to turn off the unit immediately and disconnect the air hose to avoid damaging the motor.
-
If the compressor is making an unusual sound, or if it becomes abnormally hot, turn the power off immediately and let it cool for at least 20 minutes before resuming.
-
The compressor is rated for use up to a maximum of 100 PSI. Do not use on high pressure tires found on some commercial vehicles, agricultural or specialist vehicles that are above 100 PSI.
-
Only use the adapters supplied with the device.
-
Refer to your vehicles hand book to find the relevant tire pressure.
