CHAMPION CHRK210 Rice Cooker
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
- Read all instructions carefully.
- Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or main body in water or any other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when out in use and before cleaning.
- Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for exa-mination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other liquids.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- The appliance must not be immersed in water.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacture or its service agent.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

- This unit is only for household use.
- Preheating the appliance is not necessary.
Operating instructions
CAUTIONS TO READ BEFORE USING CHRK210:
- Only use this product with the correct AC voltage outlet. For correct rated voltage see box and label at the bottom of the unit.
- Be sure to unplug AC cord when pan is not in cooker, or when cooker is not being used.Remember the “KEEP WARM” feature operates whenever the cord is plugged in
- Turn the switch on the back of the ricecooker to on.
- Place the inner pot inside the cooker before operating. Turn the pot gently to right and left.
- If the switch button is difficult to press to the “cook” position, do not try to force it down. This difficulty usually occurs when inner pot is not fully inserted in cooker or when cooking has just finished.
- Place the lid on your inner pot while cooking; keep the lid in place after serving to prevent your rice from drying out or discoloring.
- Keep bottom of inner pot and surface of heater plate free of foreign matter to prevent operating mal-functions.
How to use
Use the measuring cup provided in the package to measure and add rice to the inner pot. By measuring cup, add water and rice according to the following standard
Cups of Raw Rice Water (add to the line on pot) Cooking time (aprox)
- 2 cups 2 – 2,5 cups 20 min.
- 4 cups 4 – 5 cups 22 min.
- 5 cups 5 – 6 cups(recomended) 23 min.
- 6 cups 6 – 7 cups 30 min.
- 8 cups 8 – 9 cups 30 min.

Place the inner pot in cooker. Add rice and water in the inner pot. Turn the pan gently to the right and left and close the cover firmly.

Plug in power cord, and turn on the swith on in the back. Do not turn on until ready to cook. Note! If the pot is not correctly placed in the cooker, cooking will not start!

Press the “cook” switch, the indicator tells you that cooking has started. Cook with the lid on. After 3/5 to 4/5 of the cooking time, you can carefully stir to avoid rice getting stuck in the bottom.
Warning! The steam and pot is very HOT, take care not to get burnt. -
When the rice is done, the switch will pop up. After the switch pops up, leave covered for at least 15 minutes to steam rice.

After use, turn toff the switch on the back and then unplug the cord. Grasp the plug, not the cord.

Do not cover the ventilating hole to avoid scaling or overheating.
CAUTION : TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, COOK ONLY IN THE
REMOVABLE CONTAINER. TURN THE SWITH ON THE BACK OFF AND THEN UNPLUG THE CORD.
CAUTION : Before cooking, clean the bottom of the inner pot and the
surface of the heating plate. Then turn the pot clockwise and anti-clockwise
to ensure that it sits properly onto the heating plate inside the rice cooker.
If not, the rice cooker will not work or might get damaged

Maintenance
- Remove inner pot and lid and wash them in hot soapy water, taking care to rinse completely, and then dry with a soft cloth.
- Clean the outside of cooker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean any part of the cooker with abrasive cleaner. Use a damp cloth or sponge with water and mild dish detergent. Do not submerge any part of cooker in water. Wash only inner pot and lid.
- To clean the heating plate and thermo-control plate, use steel wool to polish or remove any residue. Then wipe with a damp cloth. Allow to dry completely before re-using. You must keep the heating plate and thermo-control plate free from any foreign objects; otherwise the cooker will not operate properly.
- Improper cleaning of cooker may cause unpleasant odors.
- Any residue of vinegar or salt may cause pan to corrode
Warranty

This warranty applies only to products purchased and used for home use and does not cover damage resulting from abuse, failure to comply with the instructions from Champion Nordic, cases in which the product has been modified or subjected to unauthorized repair, improper packaging on the part of the owner, normal wear and tear, or improper handling on the part of a transport company
