DISPOSAL
In connection with the batteries and
rechargeable batteries placed by us on the market or with the delivery of
devices that contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are required by
the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following: The symbol of the
crossed-out garbage can means that batteries and rechargeable batteries must
not be disposed of in household waste. If the battery or accumulator contains
more than 0.0005 mass percent of mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent of
cadmium or more than 0.004 mass percent of lead, the symbol outside the
crossed out garbage can is extended by chemical symbols of the metals (Hg, Cd,
Pb). As an end user, you are legally obligated not to dispose of all used
batteries and accumulators in household waste, but to return them to retailers
or municipal collection points. Used batteries and accumulators that are not
enclosed in the old device, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old
device, must generally be separated from the old device in a non-destructive
manner before being handed in at a collection point. Used batteries and
accumulators may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or
your health if not stored or disposed of properly. Returned used batteries and
accumulators will only be recycled. Thus, valuable raw materials such as iron,
zinc, manganese or
nickel are recovered. You can either return used batteries or accumulators
free of charge in your immediate vicinity (e.g. to a retailer or recycling
center) or send them back to us free of charge. The environment and HSP Hanse
Shopping GmbH thank you.
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin that this device is subject to the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE Directive). It indicates that the respective device must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life. A black bar under the crossed-out wheeled garbage can indicates that the device was placed on the market after 2005. Do not dispose of this device as normal household waste, but collect it separately and dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner at a municipal collection point. Owners of old appliances from private households can hand them in free of charge at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the take-back points set up by manufacturers or distributors as defined by the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act. Stores with a sales area of at least 400 m² for electrical and electronic equipment are obliged to take back the equipment. From 01.07.2022, those grocery stores with a total sales area of at least 800 m² that offer electrical and electronic equipment several times a year or permanently and make it available on the market are also subject to this requirement. This also applies to sales using means of distance communication if the storage and shipping areas for electrical and electronic equipment are at least 400 m² or the total storage and shipping areas are at least 800 m².
The recycling symbol consists of three arrows representing the reuse cycle (recycling). The packaging and filling materials can be recycled. Do not dispose of the packaging and filling materials in the household waste, but take them to the recycling collection in an environmentally friendly manner.
