ROLLER SKATE HELMET
OWNER’S MANUAL
AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND AS/NZS 2063:2008
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARE AND USE
(a) No helmet can protect the wearer against all possible impacts.
(b) The helmet is designed to be retained by a strap under the lower jaw.
(c) To be effective, a helmet must fit and be worn correctly. To check for
correct fit, place the helmet on the head and make any adjustments indicated.
Securely fasten retention system. Grasp the helmet and try to rotate it to the
front and rear. A correctly fitted helmet should be comfortable and should not
move forward to obscure vision or rearward to expose the forehead.
(d) No attachments should be made to the helmet except those recommended by
the helmet manufacturer.
(e) The helmet is designed to absorb shock by partial destruction of the shell
and liner. This damage may not be visible. Therefore, if subjected to a severe
blow, the helmet should be destroyed and replaced even if it appears
undamaged.
(f) The helmet may be damaged and rendered ineffective by petroleum and
petroleum products, cleaning agents, paints, adhesives, and the like, without
the damage being visible to the user.
(g) A helmet has a limited lifespan in use and should be replaced when it
shows obvious signs of wear.
(h) This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other
activities where there is a risk of hanging or strangulation if the child gets
trapped whilst wearing the helmet.

If your helmet bears a CPSC designation it meets the standard safety
requirements of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. If your helmet
bears a CE designation it meets the EN 1078 safety requirements of the
European Committee for Standardization.
If your helmet bears an AS/NZS designation it meets the AS/NZS 2063:2008
safety requirements. If your helmet bears an ASTM designation it meets with
ASTM F1492-15 Safety Standard. Adjust straps so the buckle does not sit at the
jawbone. Tuck the loose end of the strap through the “O” ring, and within the
chin pad.
The correct position for the buckled chin strap is under the jaw, between the
tip of the chin and throat. The buckled strap should feel firm and
comfortable. You should be able to slip a finger between your chin and the
strap.
WARNING: Always wear your helmet with the chin strap buckled securely.
Your helmet includes one pre-inserted pad. If your helmet won’t fit properly
with the pre-inserted
pads you may purchase additional pads for a better fit.
Test For a Safe Fit
Perform these checks before each use:
- Put the helmet on. It should remain stationary on your head. If it moves, use the Spin Dial to increase tension. If the skin on your forehead pulls just slightly, you have a good fit.
- Fasten and release the magnetic buckle.
- Buckle the chin strap and open your mouth. The strap should pull firmly against your chin. Pull the helmet forward and backward as far as you can. If it slides, lifts away from your head or comes off, the strap is too loose. If the helmet moves only slightly, you have a good fit.
Do not adjust your helmet while riding. If unable to achieve a proper fit, do not use this helmet.
**Removable Visor
**
(VIO/STREET/LITTLE NUTTY Models) ( figure #3 )
The NUTCASE visor shields sun and rain. To attach it, fit the three tabs on
the visor into the three notches along the inner front edge of the helmet.
Work all three tabs firmly into the notches until fully inserted.
360º Reflectivity
The front and back NUTCASE logos, Spin Dial, and chin strap webbing are made
of reflective material. These reflective materials are not a substitute for
required lights. In low light and dark conditions, always ride with proper
lighting systems on your bike. Exercise caution and adhere strictly to traffic
laws.
Care and Storage
Wipe down your helmet with mild soap and a damp, soft cloth. Let it air dry.
Do not submerge it in water or store it when wet. Store it out of direct
sunlight in dry, temperate, pH-neutral conditions. Avoid contact with pointed
objects or sharp edges. Do not store your helmet in a warm car or near a heat
source.
1 Year Limited Warranty
NUTCASE helmets are warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase or as otherwise
required by local law. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser
and does not cover damage caused by impact, improper use, accidents,
negligence, abuse, improper maintenance, improper fit, normal wear and tear,
modifications, use unintended by NUTCASE or damage due to heat or contact with
solvents. If a NUTCASE helmet is found to be defective in materials or
workmanship within one year from the date of purchase, NUTCASE or its country
distributor will, at its sole option, either provide repair parts or replace
the helmet free of charge. The original purchaser should take the helmet to an
authorized retailer with proof of purchase and written documentation of the
defect.
The retailer will then evaluate the claim.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights. This warranty is in lieu
of all other warranties, express or implied. No representative or person is
authorized to assume liability on behalf of NUTCASE in connection with sale or
use of this product.
For warranty information in the EU, contact your authorized NUTCASE retailer.
Your helmet is independently lab-tested and certified to protect you. However,
the protective performance of your helmet may decrease over time during normal
use. We recommend replacing your helmet after 6 years from the date code
listed inside the helmet.
