results from your appliance which has been manufactured with high quality and
state-of-the-art technology. For this reason, please read this entire user
manual and all other accompanying documents carefully before using the
appliance and keep it as a reference for future use. If you handover the
appliance to someone else, give the user manual as well. Follow the
instructions by paying attention to all the information and warnings in the
user manual.
Remember that this user manual may also apply to other models. Differences
between models are explicitly described in the manual.

Please note the following instructions:
- Before using this product, read and follow all warnings andinstructions.
- This product is not intended for use by young children. Young children should be properly supervised.
- This product is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
- No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.
- Ventilation should not be impeded by covering ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, table cloths, curtains and the like.
- Make sure the unit is adjusted to a stable position. Damage caused by using this product in an unstable position or by failure to follow any other warning or precaution contained within this user manual will not be covered by warranty.
- Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases on or near the product.
- Do not use or store this product in a place where it is subject to direct sunlight, heat, excessive dust or vibration.
- Do not keep or store this product in wet conditions for long period.
- Do not clean this product with water or other liquids.
- Do not block or cover the slots and holes in the product.
- Do not push foreign objects into the slots or holes in the product.
- Do not attempt to open this product yourself. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
- Do not allow children access to plastic bags.
Build-in Rechargeable Battery CAUTION:
- Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by anincorrect type.
- Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
- Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
Compliance with the WEEE Directive and Disposing of the Waste Product:
This product complies with EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). This product bears
a classification symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
This symbol indicates that this product shall not be disposed with other
household wastes at the end of its service life. Used device must be returned
to official collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic
devices. To find these collection systems please contact to your local
authorities or retailer where the product was purchased. Each household
performs important role in recovering and recycling of old appliance.
Appropriate disposal of used appliance helps prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment and human health.
Compliance with RoHS Directive
The product you have purchased complies with EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU).
It does not contain harmful and prohibited materials specified in the
Directive.
Package information
** Packaging materials of the product are manufactured from recyclable
materials in accordance with our National Environment Regulations. Do not
dispose of the packaging materials together with the domestic or other wastes.
Take them to the packaging material collection points designated by the local
authorities.
Information on Waste Batteries**
This symbol on rechargeable batteries/batteries or on the packaging indicates
that the rechargeable battery/battery may not be disposed of with regular
house hold rubbish. For certain rechargeable batteries/batteries, this symbol
may be supplemented by a chemical symbol. Symbols for mercury (Hg) or lead
(Pb) are provided if the rechargeable batteries/batteries contain more than
0,0005 % mercury or more than 0,004 % lead.
Rechargeable batteries/batteries, including those which do not contain heavy
metal, may not be disposed of with household waste. Always dispose of used
batteries in accordance with local environmental regulations. Make enquiries
about the applicable disposal regulations where you live.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If a fault occurs, first check whether you can resolve the problem yourself.
You might find this overview useful.
Fault | Possible cause/action |

No Function | • If the device has been disrupted by a thunderstorm, a static |
charge or another external factor, follow this procedure to resolve the
problem: Power off this device and power on it again 10 seconds later.
• Disconnect the supplied adapter and then plug it in again.
No Sound| • The volume may be set too low or in mute mode.
• In Bluetooth mode: Set the volume of the external device to the maximum and
then control the volume by using the “(4)” button.
No/Bad Radio Reception| • If necessary, select another location to improve the
radio signal.
• Adjust the telescopic antenna to optimize the radio reception.
No Bluetooth Connection| • Take care to ensure that all settings have been
made correctly on all devices. The Bluetooth function may be deactivated on
the external device. (re) activate it, if necessary.

Grundig products come with a guarantee that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a
major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss
or damage. You are also entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if
the product fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount
to a major failure. ‘Acceptable quality and Major failure’ have the same
meaning as referred to in the Australian Consumer Law.
This Grundig warranty is in addition to any other rights you may have under
Australian Consumer Laws. Grundig will repair or replace any part that becomes
defective during the warranty period of 12 months after the original purchase
of a new Grundig product at no extra charge. To be clear that means second
hand Grundig products are not covered by this warranty, and if a Grundig
product is replaced the warranty period does not start over again.
The Grundig manufacturer’s warranty has the following conditions in order to
make a claim:
- Proof of purchase (typically your receipt).
- Please contact Grundig Customer Care to request warranty support for your Grundig audio product. Grundig covers the expenses of labour and materials required for the repair or replacement of the product that is found to be defective, and a reasonable return shipping charge within Australia only. Original packaging should be retained; additional charges will be incurred for additional cartons / packaging.
- Any product or part that is replaced by Grundig becomes Grundig’s property
- Grundig may choose to use refurbished parts or supply a refurbished replacement (with similar specifications) at its sole discretion.
- Component & consumable parts, the nature of which is to become worn or depleted with use (batteries, headphone ear pads or other accessories) are excluded.
- Grundig products are designed for normal domestic / home use only.
- If you incorrectly install, misuse, damage, neglect to maintain or clean your Grundig product in line with the user manual recommendations, then damage caused by this is excluded
- Damage caused by normal wear and tear, damage caused by accident, unreasonable use or neglect, vermin or insect infestation, or power surges, electrical storms or incorrect power supplies are also excluded
- If the Grundig product has been repaired or modified by an unauthorised person, or if the serial number has been removed, modified or defaced, then the warranty is excluded
- This Grundig manufacturer’s warranty only covers actual defects within the product itself, and does not cover the cost of installation or removal from a fixed installation, setup or adjustments, claims based on misrepresentation by the seller, performance variations resulting from installation-related circumstances such as source quality or AC power or product modifications.
