OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TEST MODE
The Forest Lantern comes set in Test Mode. While in Test Mode, pressing the
Power Switch C will turn the lantern on for 10 seconds.
Note: The lantern cannot be manually turned off during the 10 second
demonstration.
FUNCTIONAL MODE
To switch to Functional Mode, press and hold the Power Switch C for 10
seconds. The Battery Life Indicator D will flash 4 times confirming the
mode has switched. You can also simply charge the lantern to switch to
Functional Mode.
ON/OFF
Press the Power Switch C once to turn the Forest Lantern on. Press it a
second time to turn it off.
ADJUSTING BRIGHTNESS
Turn the Dimmer Switch C clockwise to increase brightness and counter-
clockwise to decrease brightness.
REMOVING THE BATTERY

Place the Forest Lantern on its side so the base of the lantern is accessible.
Note: Place the lantern on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratching. -
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the Screws H from the Battery Cover I.

Remove the Battery Cover I.

Remove the Li-ion Battery I.
REPLACING THE BATTERY

Insert the Barebones specific Li-ion Battery J into place with the exposed metal connecting to the coils.
Note: Do not remove plastic wrap on batteries. -
Test the battery connection by turning on the Forest Lantern.

Place the Battery Cover I into position.

Secure the Battery Cover I with Screws H.
Note: Do not overtighten. Overtightening can damage the battery plate or strip the screws.
FAQ
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RECHARGE THE LANTERN?
To prolong the life of the Lithium Ion batteries, it’s important to keep your
lantern charged. The batteries need to be charged every six months, even if
not in regular use.
WHY IS MY BATTERY LIFE INDICATOR BLINKING?
The Battery Life Indicator D will begin blinking when it’s time to charge
the lantern.
WILL I NEED TO REPLACE THE LED?
The Forest Lantern was designed to not require LED replacement. It comes with
a one year warranty and is rated for 20,000 hours of use.
