Please read the instructions carefully and keep for future reference. Information may be updated from time to time so please refer to website for the latest version of the manual.
Warranty
Equator Appliances undertakes to the consumer-owner to repair or, at our
option, to replace any part of this product which proves to be defective in
workmanship or materials under normal personal, family or household use, in
the USA and Canada, for a period of one year from the date of original
purchase. During this period, we will provide all labor and parts necessary to
correct such defect, free of charge, if the appliance has been installed and
operated in accordance with the written instructions with the appliance. Ready
access to the appliance, for service, is the responsibility of the consumer-
owner. Service would be provided from Monday to Friday between normal business
hours.
Exclusions
In no event shall Equator Appliances be liable for incidental or
consequential damages or for damages resulting from external causes such as
abuse, misuse, incorrect voltage or acts of God. This warranty does not cover
service calls which do not involve defective workmanship or materials covered
by this warranty. Accordingly, diagnosis and repair costs for a service call
which does not involve defective workmanship or materials will be the
responsibility of the consumer-owner.
Specifically, the following work Is not covered under warranty and does not
constitute warranty work: Installation – e.g. Insufficient spacing around
appliance Maintenance – e.g. Cleaning the appliance using solvents Mishandling
– e.g. Breakage of glass
Most work is covered. The defining factor is, has the machine malfunctioned (
Equator Appliances is responsible) or has the customer omitted or done
something to cause the appliance to malfunction (customer is responsible).
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to
you.

GENERAL
Since it is the responsibility of the consumer-owner to establish the warranty
period by verifying the original purchase date, Equator Appliances recommends
that a receipt, delivery slip or some other appropriate payment record be kept
for that purpose.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights which vary from State to State.

SAFETY INFORMATION
Read this manual before installing and operating this appliance.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire
property, or personal injury.
WARNING

ALWAYS keep electric cords, home furnishings, drapes, clothing, papers, or other combustibles at least 3 feet away from all sides of the appliance.

DO NOT place the appliance near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited.

DO NOT COVER or block the air vents of the appliance. Doing so could cause a fire.

AVOID fire or electric shock! NEVER insert or allow any foreign objects to enter the ventilation or exhaust openings of the appliance.
Prevent Fire! Keep all flammable liquids, like gasoline or paint, away from the appliance. The fireplace produces arcing sparks that could ignite flammable liquids. -
DO NOT cover the appliance in any manner. Doing so could block the air flow and cause the unit to overheat or could ignite the material covering it.

NEVER run the power cord under carpet, rugs, runners, or any other covering.

Doing so could cause the cord or materials covering the cord to overheat.

AVOID FIRE! Regularly inspect all air vents to make sure they are free from dust, lint, or other blockage. Unplug the unit and clean with a vacuum ONLY.

DO NOT rinse or get it wet.

Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable liquids in vicinity of this appliance.

For residential use only! NOT for commercial use!
NEVER use this fireplace for other than its intended purpose.

Use only the electric insert and included mantel. NEVER use a mantel from another maker.

NEVER use this electric fireplace insert unless it is properly installed in the correct mantel.

Use extreme caution if using the appliance near children, or where children may be present.

NEVER leave the appliance unattended. ALWAYS unplug it when not in use.
The appliance is hot when in use. AVOID INJURY! DO NOT TOUCH hot surfaces or attempt to move it while it is hot. -
ALWAYS turn the appliance off before unplugging it from the outlet.

AVOID INJURY! Keep the cord from crossing traffic areas to avoid tripping

NEVER modify this fireplace. Doing so could result in personal injury or property damage. Modification of this fireplace completely voids all warranties.
Discontinue use if this fireplace malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. -
NEVER place any objects on top of this mantel. Any object placed on top may cause it to tip over.

NEVER sit, stand, or climb on this electric fireplace. Doing so could cause the unit to tip over, resulting in serious personal injury or property damage.

Risk of electric shock! DO NOT OPEN! No user-serviceable parts inside!

ALWAYS disconnect this unit from the power supply before performing any assembly or cleaning, or before relocating the electric fireplace.

ALWAYS store the appliance in a dry location. NEVER use the fireplace if it has become wet.

NEVER use the appliance in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any other location where the heater could fall into a bathtub or pool, become damp or come in contact with water.

NEVER hang this unit on a wall directly below an electrical outlet.

NEVER operate the appliance if the power cord or plug has become damaged, or if the grounding pin is damaged or missing.

ONLY use this heater on a 110V 15 Amp grounded circuit. NEVER overload the circuit. If the appliance trips the circuit breaker, unplug all other appliances on the same circuit before the next use. Avoid plugging other appliances into the same circuit as the fireplace.

NEVER plug the appliance into an outlet that is old, cracked, or has any loose wires or connections. Plugging into a faulty outlet could result in electric arcing within the outlet that could cause the outlet to overheat or catch fire.

ALWAYS check the cord and plug connections with each use!
1. MAKE SURE the plug fits tight in the outlet! Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause the outlet to overheat.
2. Heaters draw more current than small appliances. Overheating may occur even if it has not occurred with the use of other appliances.
3. During use check frequently to see if the plug outlet or faceplate is HOT!
4. If the outlet or faceplate is HOT, discontinue use immediately and have a qualified electrician inspect and/or replace the faulty outlets.
PREPARATION
** This appliance has a front panel made of GLASS!
ALWAYS** use extreme caution when handling glass.
Failure to do so could result in personal injury or property damage.
Place Fireplace on a smooth flat surface, leaving 3 feet of space all around
it.
Attaching the wheels is optional. If the wheels are attached, they must be
locked to prevent the appliance from moving once it is in place.
The following accessories and parts are included with the fireplace: remote
control, wheels (4) and wheel screws (16).
Tools required for assembly: Phillips screwdriver (not included) Install the
wheels as shown.
Turn the mantel over on a soft level surface. Align the holes in each wheel
with the holes in the mantel. Thread wheel screws through each hole and into
the mantel. Tighten securely with a Phillips screwdriver. DO NOT OVER-
TIGHTEN.
After attaching the wheels please make sure to LOCK the wheels so the fireplace
does not move.
WARNING! This fireplace has wheels. NEVER use near stairs or ramps, or
on unlevel surfaces. Doing so could cause the fireplace to roll away and cause
personal injury or property damage.
OPERATION and SAFETY
Read and understand this entire owner’s manual, including all safety
information, before plugging in or using this product.
Failure to do so could result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or
death.
Power
Make sure the ON/OFF switch, located on the control panel, is in the OFF
position. Plug the power cord into a 110V / 60Hz 15 Amp grounded outlet. Make
sure the outlet is in good condition and the plug is not loose. NEVER exceed
the maximum amperage for the circuit. DO NOT plug other appliances into the
same circuit. Temperature Limiting Safety Feature This appliance is equipped
with a Temperature Limiting Safety Feature. Should the appliance reach an
unsafe temperature (212 F / 95 C), the appliance will automatically turn OFF.
If the fireplace tips over, the appliance will automatically turn Off.
This is another safety feature.
To reset :
- Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
- Turn the ON/OF switch on the CONTROL PANEL to OFF. Wait 15 minutes.
- Inspect the fireplace to make sure no vents are blocked, or clogged with dust or lint. If they are, use a vacuum to clean the vent areas.
- With the POWER switch in the OFF position, plug the power cord back into the outlet.
- If it switches off again, UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE RIGHT AWAY!
Have the outlets, wiring, and breaker box inspected by a professional. Make necessary repairs before using the appliance.
Control Panel and Remote
The control panel is in the upper right corner of the appliance.

| FLAME button: Control the flame color and brightness level.| 1.Press for 3
seconds to change the flame color.
2.Press for 5 seconds for the flame to get brighter.
| HEAT button: Controls the temperature.| 1.Press for 5 seconds to select the
desired temperature setting.(65-5°F)
2.Press repeatedly to select the temperature.
| TEMPERATURE button to increase heat. (On Remote Control Only)| Press to
increase the heat output.
| TEMPERATURE button to decrease heat. (On Remote Control Only)| Press to
decrease the heat output.
Operation
Once the appliance is in place, it is ready to use.
Ensure there is at least 3 feet of space all around the fireplace.
Power On/Off
Press the Power On/Off button on the Control Panel to turn on the Fireplace. It
can also be turned on with the Remote Control.
Timer
The Fireplace can be set to turn off by pressing the Timer button on the
Control Panel or on the Remote Control. The Timer can be set from 30 minutes
to 9 hours. Press to increase from 30 minutes to 1 hour and then in 1-hour
increments. The Indicator Light will illuminate on the Control Panel and as
the time is selected, it will show on the Control Panel Display.
Flame
The Flame button can change the colors and the brightness in the fireplace. The
Indicator Light and flame selection will show on the Control Panel Display.
- Press the button for 3 seconds to select from 7 colors: Orange, green, blue, white, green/orange, blue/pink, yellow.
- Press the button for 5 seconds to increase the brightness of the fireplace logs and flames. There are 5 levels of brightness, from dim to very bright.
Heat
The Heat button can be used to select the temperature of the fireplace from 65
– 95˚F. Press it for 5 seconds to select the desired temperature. The
Indicator Light and temperature will show on the Control Panel Display.
Remote Control
All the functions on the Control Panel can also be selected from the Remote
Control. In addition, there are Up and Down arrow buttons on the Remote which
control the temperature to increase or decrease.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Risk of electric shock! DO NOT OPEN! No user-servicable parts inside!
Electrical components are integrated in the fireplace and are not serviceable
by the customer.
ALWAYS turn the appliance OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet
before cleaning, performing maintenance, or moving this fireplace. Failure to
do so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.
NEVER immerse in water or spray with water. Doing so could result in
electric shock, fire, or personal injury.
Metal: Buff using a soft cloth, slightly dampened with a citrus oil-based
product. DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will
damage the metal trim.
Glass: Use a good quality glass cleaner and dry thoroughly with a paper
towel or lint-free cloth. NEVER use abrasive cleansers, liquid sprays, or any
cleaner that could scratch the surface.
Vents: Use a vacuum or duster to remove dust and dirt from the heater and
vent areas. Clean the exterior of the fireplace with a slightly damp cloth or
duster.
Wood: NEVER use abrasive cleansers, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that
could scratch the surface. Clean the exterior of the fireplace with a slightly
damp cloth or duster.
Storage: Store the apppliance in a clean dry place when not in use.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING! Turn off the appliance, unplug and let cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting to service. Only a qualified professional should attempt to service or repair the appliance.
