  • Carefully read through these Operating Instructions and the operating instructions of the projector to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Please save this Operating Instructions for future use.

Attention

  • Turn off the power and disconnect the power plug from the wall outlet before you replace the air filter unit.
  • When attaching the air filter unit, make sure that the projector is stable, and work in an environment that is safe, even in the event of the air filter unit dropping.
  • Do not put anything into the air vents. Doing so may result in malfunction of the projector.
  • Be sure to reset the filter counter after replacing the air filter unit.

Replacing the air filter unit

  1. Turn off the power and then remove the AC power plug from the wall outlet.
    • When the power is to be turned off, be absolutely sure to follow the procedure described in “Powering Off the Projector” in the operating instructions of the projector.

  2. Remove the air filter cover.
    • Pull out the air filter cover from the hook of the projector while slightly pushing upward the tabs of the air filter cover and open it in the direction of the arrow in figure.Panasonic ET RFL300 Replacement Filter Unit - Figure

  3. Remove the air filter unit.
    • The air filter unit is fixed by the 3 hooks. Grasp the fibre of the air filter unit near to the cover side with one hook and then pull the air filter unit out from the air filter cover as arrow direction shown.
    • After removing the air filter unit and the air filter cover, remove foreign objects and dust from the air filter compartment and the projector’s air intake port if there are any.Panasonic ET RFL300 Replacement Filter Unit -

  4. Attach the new air filter unit (Replacement Filter Unit) to the air filter cover.
    • There is a distinction between the inside and outside of the air filter unit. Align the red mark on the air filter unit with the red mark on the air filter cover.Panasonic ET RFL300 Replacement Filter Unit - Figure

    1. Attach the air filter cover to the projector.
      • Perform Step 2) in the reverse order to close the air filter cover, and push in the air filter cover securely until it clicks into place.
      • Make sure that the air filter cover is closed tightly.

    2. Connect the power plug, press the power < / I > button on the control panel or the on the remote control to turn on the power.

    3. Press the

      button to display the main menu, then press to select [Expand].

    4. Press the <INPUT/ENTER> button on the control panel or the button on the remote control, then press to select [Filter counter].

    5. Press the <INPUT/ENTER> button on the control panel or the button on the remote control, then press to select [Filter counter reset].

    6. Press the <INPUT/ENTER> button on the control panel or the button on the remote control.
      • The [Filter counter reset ?] confirmation message is displayed.

    7. Press to select [Yes], then press the <INPUT/ENTER> button on the control panel or the button on the remote control.
      • The [OK ?] confirmation message is displayed.

    8. Press to select [Yes], then press the <INPUT/ENTER> button on the control panel or the button on the remote control.
      • The filter usage time is 0 after reset.

Attention

  • Make sure that the air filter unit is properly attached before using the projector. If it is not attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust causing a malfunction.
  • After unpacking the air filter unit, discard the packaging material properly.
  • Do not disassemble the air filter unit.

Note

  • The replacement cycle of the air filter unit varies greatly depending on the usage environment.
  • For procedures on maintaining the air filter unit, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the projector.
  • Be sure to reset the filter counter after replacing the air filter unit. Otherwise, the warning icon will appear on screen.

When discarding this product, please contact your local authorities or dealer and ask for the correct method of disposal.
