Applicable on UV130, UV130F & UV130G — This unit is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Should this occur, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the wall outlet and turn off switch. Remove dust cup and empty. Clean dust cup filter. Allow the unit to cool for approximately 20 minutes to 1 hour. To restart, re-plug into wall outlet and turn switch back on.

BAGLESS SUPER STICK – THERE IS DUST ESCAPING FROM MY UNIT, WHAT DO I DO?

Applicable on UV130, UV130F & UV130G — Empty dust cup if full and make sure that it is installed correctly. Check for any puncture or perforations in your filter and replace immediately.

BAGLESS SUPER STICK – THE SUCTION ON MY UNIT DECREASES WHEN I ADD THE ATTACHMENTS, OR WON’T PICK UP LIKE IT USED TO, WHY IS THAT SO?

Applicable on UV130, UV130F & UV130G — The suction can diminish slightly while using the attachments, this is normal. If there is a major diminishment, check the flexible hose for any obstructions and remove immediately make sure that the hose end is securely in place. Check for a worn or broken belt and replace if necessary. The suction will diminish when your HEPA or cloth filter is full. Be sure to empty and wash the filters often and replace when needed.

BAGLESS SUPER STICK – WHY DOES MY VACUUM KEEP SHORTING OUT OR TRIPPING MY CIRCUIT BREAKER?

Applicable on UV130, UV130F & UV130G — Check your fuse and circuit breaker and replace fuse if necessary. Make sure that the breaker is rated high enough for the amperage of your unit. You can only run the vacuum cleaner on a branch circuit that has no other appliances or lighting fixtures on it.

BAGLESS SUPER STICK – HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE THE HEPA FILTER?

Applicable on UV130, UV130F & UV130G — The HEPA Dust Cup Filter may be washed. However, we recommend that this NOT be done more frequently than once every three (3) months. When washing your HEPA Dust Cup Filter, hold filter cartridge by frame flange and rinse under a tap until all observable dirt has been removed. Some discoloration of the HEPA filter material may occur, this is normal and will not affect the filter’s performance. When finished, shake off excess water. Do not wash in dishwasher. It is important that when you wash the HEPA dust cup filter, you allow it to air dry completely before using again. We recommend 24 hours to air dry.
