FAQs

SHARK ROADSTER UPRIGHT – WHY WON’T THE AGITATOR TURN ON?

Applicable on UV208EF & UV219CS — The agitator will not turn on if the belt is broken or if the belt is not installed correctly.

SHARK ROADSTER UPRIGHT – THE SUCTION ON MY UNIT DECREASES WHEN I ADD THE ATTACHMENTS, WHY IS THAT SO?

Applicable on UV208EF & UV219CS — Attachments do restrict the air flow. Check the flexible hose and floor attachments for any obstruction and remove immediately. Ensure that your attachments are firmly positioned in place. The suction will diminish when your HEPA or cloth filter is full. Be sure to empty and wash the filters often and replace if necessary.

SHARK ROADSTER UPRIGHT – WHY IS MY TURBO BRUSH ROTATING SLOWLY OR NOT ROTATING AT ALL?

Applicable on UV208EF & UV219CS — Check for and remove any obstructions from the rotating brush, the hose or the neck of the turbo brush. If there was an obstruction in either of the area, the belt may be broken, in this case the turbo brush must be replaced. Emptying and cleaning of the HEPA or cloth filter is also recommended.

SHARK ROADSTER UPRIGHT – WHAT DO I DO IF MY UPRIGHT VACUUM OVERHEATS?

Applicable on UV208EF & UV219CS — This unit is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Should this occur, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the wall outlet and turn off switch. Remove dust cup and empty. Clean dust cup filter. Allow the unit to cool for approximately 1 hour. To restart, re-plug into wall outlet and turn switch back on.

SHARK ROADSTER UPRIGHT – WHAT DO I DO IF MY UNIT WILL NOT PICK UP OR THE SUCTION IS WEAK?

YOU MAY ALSO CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR FILTER IS DIRTY. IF SO, YOU CAN WASH OR REPLACE THE HEPA DUST CUP FILTER.
Applicable on UV208EF & UV219CS — If this occurs, check the following: Full or clogged dust cup. Wrong pile height setting. Clogged nozzle or dust cup port. Clogged hose or hole in the hose. Broken or misplaced belt. Hose not inserted correctly.
