AUDIO SETTINGS

ON/OFF BUTTON / VOLUME/MUTE KNOB
Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. lf you want to turn off the unit, press the POWER button for 2 seconds. To actívate the MUTE function, press the POWER button less than one second, to deactivate the MUTE function, press the POWER button again. Turn the POWER knob left or right to adjust the volume from O (min.) to 40 (max.). After 3 seconds, the indicatorvolume will disappear from the screen.

SELECTION OF AUDIO SETTINGS
Press the TONES icon (located in the lower menu) to enter the settings menuaudio. The positioning simulator inside the vehicle is shown in the foreground, all the settings appear by default at the center of the plane, to make adjustments press the white cursor and drag according to the desired position. To adjust balance, sliding is done horizontally; drag left, audio output will be on the left speakers, drag right, audio output will be on the right speakers. To adjust the fader, sliding is done vertically; drag up to enable front speaker audio output, drag down to enable rear speaker audio output
lt is also possible to make adjustments to enable a single audio output; For example, if you want to output exclusively to the front left speaker: drag the cursor so that it is positioned in the upper left comer.

EQUALIZATION ADJUSTMENT

Audio equalization selection;
On the right side of your unit’s screen is the equalization adjustment section. The unit has four equalizer modes by default (POP, ROCK, JAZZ, CLASSIC, USER) In the EQ section slide your finger to select the desired equalization.

User mode selection:
With this option it is possible to make changas in the equalization mode, this menu allows adjustments in equalization (Bass, Middle, Treble), they have the values -5 to +5.

LOUDNESS ADJUSTMENT
While listening to music at a low volume level, this feature will enhance the response of bass and treble sounds, select to boost output levels.

RESET OPTION
Return the applied changes to factory settings

SELECTING DISPLAY SETTINGS

Press the DISPLAY icon (located in the bottom menu) to enterthe display settings.

BRIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the brightness level, pressing the right or left button adjusting the desired level. The Brightness level indicated on the screen Minimum -10 and Maximum +10.

CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT
Adjust contrast level, pressing the right or left button adjusting the desired level. The Contrast level indicated on the screen Mínimum -10 and Maximum 10.

DAY/NIGHT/AUTOMATIC LIGHTING SELECTION
LCD illumination level adjustment;

  • Day: In this mode, the LCD illumination will remain in daylight mode so that the intensity of the light increases to have a better visualization in places where the externa! lighting is of high intensity.
  • Night: In this mode, the LCD lighting will remain in night mode so that the light intensity is reduced to have a better view in places where the externa! lighting is low intensity.
  • Automatic: In this mode the LCD illumination will change automatically according to the state of the vehicle’s lights.

LCD MODE SELECTION OFF
This function allows you to turn offthe LCD illumination, to actívate the illumination double touch the LCD or press the HOME button.

DEFAULT SETTING
Returns the applied changes to factory settings.

SELECTING SYSTEM SETTINGS
Press the SYSTEM icon (located in the bottom menu) to enter the screen settings.

BEEP SOUND ADJUSTMENT “BEEP SOUND”
This function allows you to enable or disable the sound of the LCD buttons. lf enabled, you can hear a beep when you press any button on the LCD screen.

FAST CHARGE “QUICK CHARGE”
This function allows you to charge the battery of mobile devices (max. 1.5 Amps) through the USB port. The USB charging icon will appear on the LCD screen; While this function is enabled, playback of USB devices will not be possible.

ENABLING IPOD MODE “IPOD ENABLE”
This option allows you to enable iPod playback mode when an Apple device is connected to the system.

LANGUAGE SETTING “LANGUAGE”
This option allows you to choose a different language to display information (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French).

INTERNET ACCESS “ACCESS POINT”
The unit has an internet access system through the use of mobile data through the use of a traditional SIM card. To actívate the access it is necessary to enter the operation mode and actívate it with the AP ON/OFF button to turn the transmission mode on or off. In this mode it is possible to change the identification name of your unit as well as the access password

Change of unit name: Access the Change SSID name menu and write the new name with which you want to identify your unit using the alphanumeric keyboard that is displayed on the screen, as confirmation, the unit will prompt you to write the identification name again, when When the new name is ready, press the OK button. ldentification password change: Access the Change Password menu and write the new name with which you want to identify your unit using the alphanumeric keyboard that is displayed on the screen, as confirmation, the unit will prompt you to write the identification name again, when it is ready the new name press the OK button.

START VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level with which the unit will start. Each time the unit is turned on it will start at the level that the startup volume has been set to, this happens when the operating volume is above this level when the unit is turned off. When the volume level is below the set limit the unit will turn on at the level that was set before it was tumed off.

AUXILIARY VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to set a different volume level for audio played from externa! devices, through the 3.5mm jack which is located in a separate section of your unit.

VOLUME ADJUSTMENT ACCORDING TO SPEED
The unit has a sensor that tracks the speed level at which the vehicle is moving, depending on the speed of the vehicle this function will increase the volume level with which the audio is played.

  • Off: This option will not make any changes to the volume level.
  • Low: The change in the volume level is minimal and hardly noticeable by the user.
  • Medium: The change in volume level is moderate and slightly noticeable by the user.
  • High: The change in the volume level is considerable and very noticeable by the user
  • Note: all options are discarded when the vehicle is not moving.

RADIO VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the audio that is played in radio mode, every time a change is made from a different playback mode to radio mode, the volume level will be played at the level that this feature has been set to..

USB MOVIE VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the audio that is played in movie mode through a storage device (USB), each time a change is made from a different playback mode to USB movie mode, the volume level is will play at the level that this feature has been set to.

USB AUDIO VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the audio that is played in audio mode through a storage device (USB), each time a change is made from a different playback mode to USB audio mode, the volume level is will play at the level that this feature has been set to.

iPod VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the audio that is played in iPod mode, each time you switch from a different playback mode to iPod mode, the volume level will be played at the level that this feature has been set to.. AUX-IN AUDIO VOLUME ADJUSTMENT This option allows adjusting the volume level for the audio that is played in the auxiliary mode through an externa! device connected via cable in the 3.5mm input, each time a change is made from a different playback mode to the auxiliary mode, the level volume will play at the level that this feature has been set to.

BLUETOOTH AUDIO VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the audio that is played in bluetooth mode through an externa! device, every time a change is made from a different playback mode to bluetooth mode, the volume level will be played at the level when this feature has been fixed.

NAVIGATION VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to choose the volume level of the voice announcements that are emitted from externa! devices, press the right or left buttons to adjust the desired level, mínimum -10 and maximum +10.

BLUETOOTH VOICE CALL VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level with which the incoming call tone will start, once the call is received you can adjust the audio level with the volume control knob.

ENTERTAINMENT VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the audio that is played in Car Play or Android auto mode through an externa! device, either vía USB or wireless connection, each time a change is made from a different playback mode to Car Play or Android auto mode, the volume level will play at the level this feature has been set to.

NOTIFICATION VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
This option allows you to adjust the volume level for the notification audio that will be played through the Car Play and Android Auto apps.

DATE AND TIME SETTING DATE
Slide the indicator vertically to adjust the data you want to be displayed in the main menu, the settings will appear in the following order YEAR, MONTH, DAY.

This section describes the operation of RADIO MODE.

ENTER RADIO MODE
In the HOME MENU press the RADIO button or RADIO icon in the MAIN MENU.

TUNING SELECTOR
This unit has several bands available 3 FM and 2 AM with the ability to store 6 radio frequencies in each of them. To select the desired radio band press the button BAND,the display will show the band changa, these band changas are in the following orderNISSAN-i1121e-s-AM-FM-Radio-

MANUAL SEARCH FOR AM AND FM RADIO STATIONS (UP / DOWN)

To manually tune radio stations press select down and ascend selection manually finding the required radio station.

AUTOMATIC SEARCH FOR AM AND FM RADIO STATIONS (DOWN / UP)
In radio mode, you can do an automatic frequency search by pressing the buttons, , the unit will seek and play the strongest frequency available, it will automatically seek down if you press the button and it will search ascending if you press: according to the selected band.

MANUAL SEARCH FOR AM AND FM RADIO STATIONS (DOWN / UP)
In radio mode, you can manually search for frequencies by pressing the buttons , , the unit will change and play the next frequency, search down will be done if you press the button and it will search ascending if you press : according to the selected band.

FREQUENCY SCAN
Press the SCAN button on the screen to activate the function. The SCAN icon will appear on the screen with this function activated, each tuned frequency will be played for 10 seconds. To disable this feature, press the SCAN button again.

AUTOMATIC FREQUENCIES SAVE
Press SCAN for 3 seconds to activate the AUTOSAVE function; With this function, a search is made for the six frequencies with the best reception, each frequency found is reproduced for 5 seconds and will be saved in the available memory according to the order of detection. The first station will be saved in memory 1 and so on, until the 6 available memories are occupied, the first frequency recorded in memory 1 will be the one that is reproduced at the end of the AUTOSAVE function.

PROGRAM MEMORY / MEMORY FUNCTION.
Each band has 6 available memories in which the user’s preferred frequencies can be recorded: 18 for FM and 12 for AM.

SAVE FREQUENCY IN MEMORY.
To record the frequencies in the available memories, tune in the desired frequency, then press for three seconds the memory where you want to record said frequency, if the beep function is activated, the unit will emit a short beep when it finishes recording the frequency in the desired memory.

PLAY FREQUENCY RECORDED IN RADIO MEMORY.
To play a frequency recorded in any of the memories, just press the button with the indicator of the frequency to play.

RDS FUNCTION (DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM) ONLY FM
In the FM band, some radio stations transmit data through the programming, this data can be the name of the program that is transmitting, the name of the station. This information is displayed in text form when the RDS function is activated.

OPERATION OF USB MUSIC FILES MP3, WMA & AAC (M4A)

This section describes the functions available on the unit for playback of MP3, WMA, and ACC (M4A), via a USB device.

ENTER USB AUDIO MODE.
When inserting the USB device, the unit automatically plays the music files saved in the root folder, another option is: while the USB is connected, enter the media menu and press USB Audio or press the icon from the HOME menu of USB AUDIO. Supported file types: see table 1 SECTION 15 (AVAILABLE FORMATS)

SEARCH DOWN OR BACKWARD
If the button is pressed during the first 3 seconds of playback, it will go to the previous track, if it is pressed after 3 seconds it will restart the current track.

FAST REVERSE ON THE SAME TRACK
Fast reverse is activated when the button is held down more than 3 seconds so that it is possible to reverse playback within the same track.

UP SEARCH.
Press the button to go to the next track. FAST FORWARD ON THE SAME TRACK Fast forward is activated when the button is held down more than 3 seconds so that it is possible to fast-forward playback on the same track.

SLIDE FUNCTION WITH TIME INDICATOR
During audio playback, the unit will show a horizontal bar with the playback time indicator, if you want to fast forward or backward playback this is possible by pressing the playback time indicator and sliding it to the right or left depending on where you want it to go. continue playback, when this function is in operation the current playback time will light orange.

PLAY/PAUSE
If you want to pause the audio playback, press the button.(PAUSE),to continue playing the file where the pause function was activated, press the button(REPRODUCTION),Also the pause function is canceled if the forward or backward buttons are pressed

FOLDER NAVIGATION
press the icon for access to folder list and audio file list menu, navigation is possible with LCD icons NAVIGATION , or by sliding your finger on the file list section. Choose the desired file by touching the LCD screen.

REPEAT AND RANDOM FUNCTIONS

OPERATION OF PHOTO BY USB

This section describes the functions available on the unit for playback of image files stored on devices.USB. Supported file types check table 2(AVAILABLE FORMATS section 15).

ENTER PHOTO MODE
In the MEDIA MENU press the USB PHOTO option or in the HOME MENU press the USB PHOTO icon. The drive will display the images saved in the root folder on the USB.

NAVIGATION IN IMAGES FOLDER
By default, the drive will display the images saved in the root folder of the USB as small icons. Folder icons will appear in the left section.NISSAN-

AUX-IN CONNECTION OPERATION

AUXILIARY AUDIO MODE.

  • Press AUX AUDIO in the MEDIA MENU or the AUX AUDIO icon in the MAIN MENU.

Your unit has an auxiliary input with a diameter of 3.5mm, to transmit the audio signal from devices such as iPod and MP3 player.

NOTE: When connecting a device with auxiliary input, only the audio signal settings (BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE, FADER, EQ, LOUD VOL) of the device can be made through the unit.

iPod OPERATION
This section shows the available files that can be played on the equipment in iPod mode.

JUMP BACK AND FAST BACKWARDS

JUMP BACK
If the button ****is pressed during the first 3 seconds of playback it will go to the previous track, if it is pressed after 3 seconds of playback it will restart to the current track.

FAST REVERSE ON THE SAME TRACK
Song fast reverse can be activated when the button is held down ****for playback of the same track.

JUMP FORWARD AND RAPID FORWARD

JUMP FORWARD

  • Press the button ****to go to the next track.

FAST FORWARD ON THE SAME TRACK
Fast forwarding of the track is activated by pressing the button so that playback on the same track is possible.

IPOD MENU

Note:For iPod MODE playback, it is recommended to use the manufacturer’s original cable. The operation of the unit is according to the connected device.

BLUETOOTH FUNCTIONS

PHONE MENU

CONNECT PHONE
Go to the phone menu and select the Connection option, the connection mode will be activated, the name with which you can identify the unit is “My Car”.
The search mode remains active for 2 minutes, if during that time there is no connection with any external device, the unit will end the search mode and return to the current playback mode.

DEVICE SELECTION
The unit is capable of storing 5 mobile devices with Bluetooth connection, press the Selection button to access this menu, in it you can choose one of the different previously connected devices.
Press the name of the device you want to connect, the bluetooth function must be activated on the mobile device and within the connection range of 10 meters to make a connection properly.

REMOVE DEVICE FROM LIST
Within the Connection menu there is the possibility of removing each of the connected devices from the list, select the device that you want to remove from the list and then press CANCEL.

Note: The remove function only removes the selected device name from the device list, even if the device name does not appear in the list the bluetooth connection is still present.

REMOVE THE DEVICE CONNECTION
Within the Connection menu there is the possibility to delete the connection of the connected devices, select the device from which you want to delete the connection and press the DELETE button and confirm by pressing OK.

Note: To reconnect that device, go to the list of connected devices and touch the name of this device in the list.

TELEPHONE DIRECTORY
When the connection between the mobile device and the unit is complete, PHONEBOOK download may start automatically, depending on the model of the mobile device. Sometimes it is necessary to confirm this action from the mobile device.To view the phone book, enter the directory menu to see the names of the contacts stored in the mobile device’s memory.

MAKE A CALL FROM THE PHONEBOOK MENU:
Enter the phone book menu, press the name of the contact you want to make a call to and confirm by pressing the desired number again.

CALL HISTORY
Enter the call menu to view the history.

RECEIVED CALL
Up to 10 incoming calls to the mobile device can be stored in this menu. Press the contact name of the received call to make a call from this menu.

OUTGOING CALL
Up to 10 outgoing calls from the mobile device can be stored in this menu. Touch the name of the outgoing call contact to make a call from this menu.

LOST CALL
Up to 10 missed calls from the mobile device can be stored in this menu. Touch the contact name of the missed call to make a call from this menu.

DIAL NUMBER
Enter the DIAL NUMBER menu to enter the desired phone number on the numeric keypad that appears on the screen. INCOMING CALL Incoming call allows you to answer directly from the unit, press the answer button on the touch screen to accept the call and listen through the vehicle’s speakers. Or answer directly from the mobile device to receive the call in private mode listening to the audio and speaking directly on the mobile.

BACK TO PREVIOUS MENU
In each action it is possible to return to the previous menu by pressing the BACK button.

HANG UP AND REJECT CALLS
Press the END CALL button on the LCD to end an ongoing or incoming call.

Note: While call mode is present, the main unit is capable of different functions.

SWITCH AUDIO TO PRIVATE MODE
Press the phone icon to transfer audio and microphone activation directly to the connected mobile device. To cancel this feature and return audio to the car speakers, press the microphone button again.

MICROPHONE MUTE
Press the MICROPHONE icon in order to activate the microphone mute function, so the person on the other end of the line during the call will not be able to hear what you say. To cancel this function, press the microphone button again.

AUTOMATIC CONNECTION
Every time the radio is turned on, it will try to connect to previously connected devices vía Bluetooth. The unit will display the battery and phone signal symbol of the connected device when the connection is complete. The unit will start searching according to how they are displayed in the list of connected devices. lt will start with device number 1, in case the unit does not find this device, the unit will try to connect with device number 2, and so on until it finds one of the 5 devices listed. In case sorne device was not found, the unit will disable the automatic connection function. For this connection to be possible, it is important that the mobile device is within the connection range and with the bluetooth function activated.

NOTE: lf a call comes in, the phone mode takes priority over any mode on the main unit and at the end of the call, the unit will switch to the previous playback mode. In case of BT Audio, at the end of the call the automatic playback will depend on the connected device.
The unit does not have voice commands available. The unit only follows instructions according to the connected device.

PLAYING MUSIC VIA BLUETOOTH
This section describes the commands available on the unit for playing files available on the mobile device via bluetooth.

ENTER BLUETOOTH AUDIO MODE
In the MEDIA MENU press the BLUETOOTH AUDIO option or in the MAIN MENU press the BLUETOOTH AUDIO icon.

The BLUETOOTH AUDIO function depends on whether the mobile device has the BLUETOOTH AUDIO profile.
Once the device is already connected to the unit, it is sometimes necessary to manipulate the device to play audio files via Bluetooth.

TRACK FORWARD AND BACKWARD
lt is possible to navigate between the tracks, pressing the forward and backward buttons; similar to playback of USB devices.

TRACK INFORMATION
The information of the tracks that is shown on the screen as main characteristics are: TITLE, ARTIST & ALBUM.

CARPLAY
Available in select cars, CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your Apple device in the car. CarPlay takes the decisions you want to make with your device as you drive and places them on your car’s screen. You can gel directions, make calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music, all in a way that keeps you focused on the road. Just connect your compatible Apple device and you’re good to go. CarPlay features Siri voice control and is specially designed for driving scenarios. CarPlay also works with the car’s controls (knobs, buttons, or the touch screen). The apps themselves have been redesigned for the car, so they can be used while your eyes and hands are behind the wheel.

ENTER CARPLAY MODE
Connect your compatible Apple device with the CarPlay application vía USB cable. The head unit will automatically switch to the CarPlay screen.

NAVIGATION IN CARPLAY MODE

PHONE:CarPlay uses iPhone contacts to help you make calls. Use “Show Contacts” to display your favourites, recent calls, contact list, keypad, and voicemail.

MUSIC:Use this feature to access the music on your Apple device (including songs, artists, albums, and playlists). Or, sync it with Radio. CarPlay also allows you to use other audio applications that you download to your device to play podcasts, music, or listen to the radio. Use the “Now Playing” screen to control playback, or use your vehicle’s steering wheel controls.

MAPS:Get turn-by-turn directions, get traffic conditions and approximate travel time. CarPlay generates possible destinations from your email addresses, your text messages, your contacts, and your calendars, based on the places you usually go. You can also search for a location or use the locations included in your bookmarks . MESSAGES:When you open MESSAGES, Siri automatically activates to read your incoming messages or allows you to dictate a new message. Let Siri help you send, listen to, and reply to text messages.

  • CURRENT PLAYBACK: When there is a music application playing, in this menu it is possible to go directly to that application by pressing this button.
  • GO BACK :The NISSAN icon is included in the main menu of the CarPlay application, which is used to go to the main screen of the unit or disconnect the Apple device.
  • PODCAST:Use this app to play Podcasts stored on your Apple device.
  • AUDIO BOOKS: Use this app to play AudioBooks stored on your Apple device.
  • SIRI AND MENU: Use this button to activate the Siri function orto return to the CarPlay main menu.

EXIT CARPLAY MODE
In the main screen of the CarPlay application, the NISSAN icon is included, press this button to return to the main screen of the unit, or disconnect the Apple device.

NOTE: For the correct operation of CarPlay, the use of original cables is recommended. Compatible Devices iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPod touch 5th Gen, and iPod Nano 7th Gen.

ANDROID AUTO
Android Auto was designed with security in mind. With a simple, intuitive interface, steering wheel-mounted controls, and powerful new voice actions, it’s designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road. To use Android Auto you need an Android Auto compatible radio and a phone running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. When the Android phone is connected to the compatible radio or vehicle, Android Auto will display the apps on the vehicle screen. ENTER ANDROID AUTO MODE
Connect via USB cable the device compatible with the Android Auto application and on the screen of the unit to configure the settings on the mobile device, in order to match the information between the two equipment. MAIN APPLICATIONS IN ANDROID AUTO MODE

  • MAPS:Get turn-by-turn directions, get traffic conditions and approximate travel time. Android Auto generates possible destinations from your email addresses, your text messages, your contacts, and your calendars, as well as the places you usually go. You can also search for a location or use the locations included in your bookmarks, you can even use the locations included in your bookmarks. You can even use apps and receive notifications from the MAPS app while on the road.
  • PHONE: Android Auto uses your phone’s contacts to help you make calls. Use “Show Contacts” to show your recent calls, your contact list, the keypad, and your voicemail.
  • MAIN MENU: Use this button to return to the main menu.
  • GOOGLE MUSIC :Use this app to access the music on your device (including songs, artists, albums, and playlists). Or, sync it with Radio. Android Auto also allows you to use other audio applications that you download to your device to play them or listen to the radio. Use the “Now Playing” screen to control playback, or use your vehicle’s steering wheel controls.
  • MENU:ln this menu it is possible to see different Android Auto settings. Such as: vehicle configuration, system configuration, roadside support, etc.
    lf the settings are done, it is possible to enter the Android Auto mode, by pressing the icon on the Android Auto screen on the main screen of the unit
    NOTE: For the correct operation of Android Auto, the use of original cables is recommended. lfthe radio link configuration is deleted on the mobile device, when connected again, the link configuration must be performed to enter the Android Auto function.

EXIT ANDROID AUTO MODE
The screen displays the legend “return to NISSAN”, press to return to the unit’s main screen or disconnect the mobile device.

NOTE:For the operation of sorne applications it is necessary to have mobile data aran internet connection.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

  1. This device is equipped with high sensitivity buttons; avoid applying excessive force to operate them as it may damage them and reduce their lifespan.
  2. Do not open the covers. The device has no interna! parts that can be repaired by the user. lf an object falls into the unit during installation, consult your dealer ar authorized service center.
  3. Use a soft and dry cloth to clean the control panel, NEVER use rough cloth, thinner, gasoline, alcohol, etc. lf the unit is dirty, apply a little warm water to a soft cloth and carefully wipe off the dirt.
  4. Do not insert foreign objects into the auxiliary inputs (screwdrivers, blades, metal objects, etc.) as this may damage the equipment and this damage will not be covered by the warranty.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE USB DEVICE

WHEN USING use DEVICES:

  1. Use only certified USB, you can see that the USB device is certified when it has a USB lago engraved ar printed on the body of the device.
  2. To avoid damage to the USB drive device, we recommend that befare removing the USB drive, you change the operating mode ar turn off the drive.
  3. This equipment is designed to read the USB 1.1 and 2.0 reading protocol, check that the reading protocol of your USB device is compatible with the unit.
  4. lf the USB device cannot be read by the unit, the files may not be recorded correctly.

Format the USB device using the commands of your PC.

  1. Create file, MP3, WMA ar AAC folders on your PC hard drive by naming the USB folder and save only MP3, WMA, AAC files in those folders.
  2. The USB connector is available far the connection of USB devices.
