Instructions

Instructions for setting up your replacement device and returning your affected Philips device

Important: The enclosed DreamStation device is provided to you as a replacement for your existing device. This document provides basic instructions for setting up your replacement unit and returning your recalled unit.

To ensure the proper return of your unit, follow the instructions below.
Do not throw away the packaging material. You will use it to return your recalled unit.

Do not discard:
Please save the following components and accessories from your current unit. You will need them to set up your replacement unit.

• Power supply unit
• Memory card
• Power cable
• Tubing
• Humidifier
• Mask
• Modem
• Filters

The enclosed device is provided to replace your current device. We remind you that you have agreed to return your affected device directly to Philips.

Installation

Instructions: Installing the replacement Dreamstation

Disassembly of your device to be returned

• Disconnect the power supply, tubing and mask.
• Separate the humidifier from the unit by pressing the release button (FIG. A).
• Remove the modem and memory card from the device (FIG. B and C).
• Before resuming your treatment with your new device, we recommend a visual inspection of your accessories (mask, tubing, humidifying chamber) to detect any sign of contamination.
  If particles are visible, replace the contaminated accessories.

Assemble the replacement Dreamstation device.

• Take the Dreamstation unit you received in the mail out of the box.
• Insert your modem into the replacement device.
• Insert your memory card into the replacement unit.
• Connect your humidifier to the replacement unit.
• Connect your tubing and mask.
• Connect the power supply to your replacement unit.
• Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.

Update your prescription via the modem before starting your therapy.

To download your prescription to your device

• Navigate to the My Provider screen by turning the navigation knob.
• Go to the Upload screen and press the navigation button once.
• Sending.. should appear on the screen. Do not touch anything while the upload is in progress.
• Wait until the green check mark with the message Completed appears, then press the navigation button to close the message.

Note: When located near a clock radio, speaker, or other electronic device, an occasional buzzing noise may be heard. Relocate the therapy device and modem away from the electronic device to reduce or eliminate this noise.

Instructions: returning the recalled Dreamstation device

• Pack the recalled device in the shipping box.
• Place your affected device in the shipping box.
• .Seal the box with tape after you close the package.
• Make sure that the shipping box is properly sealed to prevent it from opening during transport.
• Go to the web page*: https://www.biron.com/en/return-fedex-philips/.
• Follow the steps indicated to generate a Fedex return label.
• The return must be done no later than fifteen (15) days following receipt
• of the replacement unit.

DO NOT RETURN: power cable, power supply, humidifier, modem, memory card (SD), tubing, filters.
