Introduction

Drinking safe water from Membrane Solutions Personal Water Filter is quick, easy and convenient. This product requires no batteries, and filters up to 5,000 liters of water over its lifetime. Membrane Solutions® Personal Water Filter can be used to drink water directly from an open body of water, like a river, stream or lake. Its lightweight, compact and simple design makes it perfect for hiking travelling, and camping in areas where water may be unsafe to drink due to contamination by sediment, bacteria or parasites. Membrane Solutions® Personal Water Filter uses advanced ultrafiltration membrane technology that can remove up to 99.99999 percent of bacteria (e.g, Escherichia coli, Native klebsiella).

Operating Instructions

Modes of Use

  • Draw water from a container.
  • Draw water from a squeezable or rigid bottle threaded to the water straw.
  • Connect and hang from a water-bag of watër and let gravity fill a container.
  • Inline or connect to the end of the tubing component in a hydration bag system.

Backflush after use
After use or an outing, the Personal Water Filter should be backflushed with clean water. Draw clean water through the device, and then blow the clean water back through the mouthpiece. Clean water can also be backflushed through the mouthpiece by using a pressurized water source (e.g, faucet or hose). For best results backflush in pulses. After backflushing, shake out residual water and allow to air dry (do not place in oven or microwave), and then store the Personal Water Filter in a cool, dry place recommend to store in the refrigerator). Do Not wash the device with soap, bleach or other chemicals.
