Prior to using the telescope, take it outside. Plug the fan into a USB power source such as a portable USB power bank or an AC wall charger. The fan will turn on automatically. Allow the fan to cool the primary mirror to the ambient air temperature. Once the mirror has cooled and you are ready to observe, you can disconnect the fan from power. If you wish to use the fan while observing, you may need a USB extension cable (not included).
