The new device uses a USB connection cable and 5vdc at 2A. The 5 V DC source is supplied by you. I use an iPad power block to connect mine in.

Are fade cuts possible with this?

It works well for fade cuts, yes. I already completed it.

Are these suitable for lines?

Yes, they are really clean. possesses several attachments for various lengths.

How can I obtain a new charging cord?

Despite an advertisement illustration, mine did not come with a charging wire. The USB charging cable has a non-standard (perhaps unique) female plug to match the dual prong male connection on the trimmer, which is a big problem. I’ve looked everywhere online and sent emails to the distributor, manufacturer, and the main outlet in China, but I can’t seem to get a replacement cord. The charging connection on the Surker WILL NOT WORK with standard (and various specialised) USB charging cords and chargers for razors and other trimmers.

The adjustment lever locks in more than one position, right?

The lever does not lock or “click” while changing positions, as you would have wondered. Having saying that, I have yet to use them and accidentally move the lever.

Is a 220 volt wall plug allowed?

only if an adapter is used to convert to 5V DC.

Can it handle 220 volts?

I’m not sure about this. We live with 110 people.

Is this a corded or cordless device?

I don’t use corded clippers. When trimming hair, moving about is simpler. The clippers and cord have not yet been used together.
