Important safety instructions -read carefully before use.
It is important that this instruction manual should be retained with the
appliance for future reference. These warnings have been provided in the
interest of safety. You MUST read them carefully before installation or
use.
- Check that the voltage of the main circuit corresponds with the rating of the appliance before operating.
- Please ensure that the appliance is used on a stable, level, and heat resistant surface.
- DO NOT immerse cords, plugs or any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- DO NOT leave the appliance unattended while it is operating.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children or pets.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

- When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.
- If liquid has been spilled into, or objects have fallen into the product.
- If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
- If the product does not operate when used according to the operating instructions.
- Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of other controls may interfere with the product’s normal operation.
- If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way.
- When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, this indicates a need for service.
- Servicing – The user should not attempt to service the product beyond that described in the operating instruction. All servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
- Power Lines – An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines, or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching power lines or circuits as contract with them might be fatal.
- Outdoor Antenna Grounding – If an outside antenna is connected to the receiver, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built up static. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code ANSI/NEFA 70 provides information with respect to proper to grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding conductress, location of antenna-discharge unit, size of grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode
- Cleaning- Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. DO NOT use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
- Lightning-For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
- Safety Check – Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper operation condition.
- Overloading -DO NOT overloads wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fir or electric shock.
- DO NOT apply oil or petroleum products to this product
- CAUTION! Invisible laser radiation will be emitted when the product is open and interlocks are defeated. DO NOT defeat the safety interlocks.
- Graphic symbols with supplementary markings are located at the back of the unit.
- Use of controls, adjustments, or performance procedure herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
- In the unlikely event the appliance develops a fault, stop using it immediately and seek advice from our Customer Support team.
ADDITIONAL BATTERY SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

DO NOT use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury. DO NOT expose battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperatures. Exposure to fire or temperatures above 60°( (140°F) may cause explosion.

The battery is a sealed unit and under normal circumstances poses no safety concerns. In the unlikely event that liquid leaks from the battery, DO NOT touch the liquid as it may cause irritation or burns to skin, eyes or nose. Should battery liquid come in contact with skin, immediately wash the affected area with soap and water. In case of eye contact, immediately flush your eyes thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

Disposal – wear gloves to handle the battery. Dispose of it immediately, following local ordinances or regulations.

Follow all charging instructions and DO NOT charge the battery pack or the appliance outside of the temperature range specifed in the instructions. Charging improperly or at a temperature outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fre. To ensure maximum battery life, observe the following guidelines:
1. When not in use the appliance should be stored at room temperature. Recommended range: 18°( (64°F) to 28°C (82°F).
2. The ambient temperature range for operation and charging should be 10°C (50°F) to 30°( (86°F). -
FIRE WARNING! DO NOT place this product on or near a cooker or any other hot surface and DO NOT incinerate this appliance even if it is severely damaged. The battery might catch fre or explode.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Before Your First Use:
- Remove your appliance from the packaging.
- Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.
- Locate your appliance in accordance with the safety instructions.
- Your appliance is now ready for normal use
Positioning the Handle:
This unit is equipped with a built-in handle. for easy transportation. This
handle can be pulled up when moving or carrying the radio. or pushed down for
storage. or when the radio is stationary.
To position the handle. simply pull on it to raise it. or push it down until
it is parallel with the main body of the unit to retract it.
Charging and Powering the Unit:
- To use the unit. start by charging it via the provided USB cable.
- To charge the unit. connect the Micro-USB end of the included USB charging cable to the corresponding DC5V port on the unit’s control panel and the other end into a compatible USB socket or mains adaptor (not included). The USB charging indicator will light up red to show the unit is charging.
- The unit is fully charged when the USB charging indicator goes out. When this occurs. unplug the unit from the mains and detach the USB cable from it.
- The unit is now ready for normal use.
Turning the Radio On:
- There will be a sound prompt and the blue BT/AUX indicator at the front of the unit will come on to show it has been turned on.
- Push the ON/OFF switch on the unit’s control panel to the ‘OFF’ position whilst the unit is in operation to turn it off. Sound will stop emitting from the unit and the illuminated indicator at the front of the radio will go out to show it has been turned off.
Adjusting the Volume:
Rotate the volume control dial at the front of the unit while the unit is
turned on to adjust output volume. Rotate this dial clockwise to increase the
volume. or counter- clockwise to decrease it.
Selecting Playing Modes:

This radio is equipped with Bluetooth. AUX. USB and FM playing modes. Press the M button on the unit’s control panel to cycle between the available playing modes. The corresponding indicator at the front of the unit will light up to show each mode has been selected. as follows:
– The indicator will flash blue quickly when Bluetooth mode is selected. then flash blue slowly after a Bluetooth device is connected.
– The indicator will flash red slowly when AUX or USB modes are selected.
– The indicator will illuminate solid red when FM mode is selected. -
Press the M mode again when a specific playing mode has been selected to switch to a different mode.
FM:
This unit is equipped with an FM mode. To select this mode. press the M button
on the unit control panel until the red indicator at the front of the unit
lights up and sound begins to emit from the unit.
Once FM mode has been selected. use the tuning dial at the front of the unit
to find and tune into available FM radio stations. Turn this dial clockwise to
move progressively forward across the band. or counter-clockwise to move
across it backwards.
AUX Mode:

This unit can be used to play back sound from an external device. through the included 3.5mm AUX cable.

To use the AUX function. insert one end of the included 3.5mm AUX cable into the AUX
In socket on the side of the unit. and the other into the corresponding AUX Out socket on the source device. There will be a sound prompt and the corresponding indicator at the front of the unit will flash red slowly to show AUX mode has been selected. -
Once the two devices have been connected in this way. use the media controls on the source device to control playback and volume output.
NOTE: Playback volumes may have to be adjusted independently on the source device and the unit for optimal playback performance.
Bluetooth Mode:
Connecting to Bluetooth
This unit is equipped with a Bluetooth function. which allows for audio to be
played wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device.
- To connect the unit to a compatible Bluetooth device. carry out the following steps:
– Press the Power On/Off button to turn the unit on.
– Press the M button until Bluetooth mode is selected. There will be a sound prompt and the corresponding indicator at the front of the unit will flash blue fast to show Bluetooth mode has been selected.
– Turn on your Bluetooth enabled device and activate the Bluetooth function.
– Search for and select the Bluetooth device. ‘A60048′
– If required, enter the password ’00OO’ to confrm and finalise pairing.
– Once the speaker and device are successfully paired there will be an audible signal.
Note: The speaker will automatically pair with previously paired devices.
Note: To connect to a new device. firstly disconnect the current
connection on your existing device (there will be an audible sound prompt) and
then repeat the above instructions on the different device.
– Once the device has been connected to the Bluetooth. use the media controls
on the source device or the unit’s control panel to control playback and
volume output. If controlling playback through the unit’s control panel. use
the Previous and Next buttons to skip forwards or backwards across a playlist,
and the Play/Pause button to start or interrupt playback.
Note: Playback volumes may have to be adjusted independently on the
source device and the unit for optimal playback performance.
USB Mode:
- This unit can be used to play back sound from an external USB memory device.
- To use the USB function. start by inserting a USB memory stick into the corresponding socket on the unit’s control panel.
- Once a USB memory device has been inserted. press the M mode on the unit’s control panel until USB mode is selected. There will be a sound prompt and the corresponding indicator at the front of the unit will flash red slowly to show this mode has been activated..
- Once a USB device has been connected to the unit. use the Previous and Next buttons to skip forwards or backwards across a playlist, and the Play/Pause button to start or interrupt playback.
TROUBLESHOOTING

The unit has been correctly paired to a Bluetooth-enabled device, but no sound
is audible.| Make sure the volume level is higher than 0.
Make sure Bluetooth mode is selected and the blue BT/USB indicator at the
front of the unit is illuminated.
The unit is linked to an external de- vice via the AUX port, but no sound is
audible.| Make sure the volume level is higher than 0.
Make sure AUX mode is selected and the red FM/AUX indicator at the front of
the unit is illuminated.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Wipe over the surfaces with a soft damp cloth.
- Dry the surfaces with a soft dry cloth.
- DO NOT use chemical cleaners.
- DO NOT use any harsh detergents, abrasives, solvents, or cleaners on any part of the unit.
- DO NOT immerse the cord or any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid.
STORAGE
- Store your appliance in a cool. dry place.
- DO NOT place the appliance in direct sunlight
