Connection & Use

Connection to Bluetooth

1. To pair and connect the Openbuds for the first time, with Openbuds in the charging case, press the On/Off button for 2 seconds until the green light blinks. Then the Openbuds enter the pairing state.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and find the available device “imoo Openbuds”. After successfully paired and connected, the indicator lights turn to always on from blinking and then off.

Automatic Reconnection
After a successful connection, the Openbuds will automatically connect to the last connected device as soon as you turn them on again.

Disconnection
The Openbuds will automatically disconnect once placed inside the charging case.

Answer/End a Call

• Tap twice on either Openbud to answer.
• Tap twice on either Openbud to end.

Play/Pause
Tap twice on either Openbud.

Next Song
Tap the right Openbud twice.

Wearing Instructions

• Step 1: As shown in Figure 1, use three fingers to spread the Openbud to a suitable angle;
• Step 2: Place it on your auricle so that it clips onto your ear. For the concrete wearing position, please refer to Figure 2.

Wearing Detection

Automatically pause to play music when the Openbuds have been taken off; automatically play music when the Openbuds are worn.

Charging & Alarm

Low Battery Alarm
In the working state, when the battery level of the Openbuds is less than 10%, it will give a low battery alarm sound.

Charge

Charging Case:
Charge the charging case via the supplied USB Type-C charging cable. During charging, the indicator light turns orange and keeps on; when fully charged, the indicator light turns green and keeps on for 1 minute then goes off.

Open buds:
Place both Openbuds in the case to charge. After fully charged, the case’s indicator light turns green and flashes when taking out the Openbuds from it.

Hearing Protection

• When you use this product to listen to music or make phone calls, it’s recommended to use the minimum volume required for listening to music or making phone calls, so as not to cause hearing damage. Long-term exposure to high volume may lead to permanent hearing damage.
• Exposure to high volume while driving may lead to distraction, which may lead to accidents.

Traffic Safety

• Please comply with the relevant regulations of the country or region where you are. Do not use this product while driving.
• Remember that driving safety is your primary responsibility and do not engage in any activities which will distract you.
• The electronic equipment of your car may fail due to radio interference of this product. Please contact the electronic equipment manufacturer for more information.
• The wireless devices may interfere with the flight system of the airplane, please abide by the relevant regulations of the airline and do not use this product in places where wireless devices are prohibited.

Operation Environment

• Do not use this product in damp places or places close to magnetic fields, so as to avoid causing its internal circuit fault.
• It is strictly prohibited to use this product in thunderstorm weather, which may cause failure in it or risk of being struck by lightning.
• Please use and store this product and its accessories within a temperature of 5℃~35℃. Exposure to over-high or over-low temperature may cause the failure of this product.
• Do not allow this product and its accessories to be exposed to rain or moisture, which may cause fire or electric shock hazard.
• Do not expose this product to direct sunlight, such as placing it on the car dashboard or window sill.
• Never put this product close to the heat sources or fire, such as placing it near the electric heater, microwave oven, oven, water heater, stove, candle, or any other place that may produce high temperature.
• Do not place sharp metal objects such as pins near the receiver and speaker of this product so as to avoid injuries caused by the adhesion of metal objects.
• Never allow children or pets to swallow or bite this product or its accessories to avoid injury or resulting in failure or explosion of this product.

Children Security

• This product and its accessories may contain some small parts. Please place this product and its accessories out of the reach of children so that children may not inadvertently damage this product and its accessories and avoid the risk caused by small parts such as suffocation on children.
• This product is not a toy. Children should use it under the guidance of their guardians.

Attentions for Charging and Battery Use

• Due to the consideration of environmental protection, this product is not equipped with a power adapter. You can use the USB interface on your computer or the power adapter with CE certificate to charge. And the output voltage and current of the power adapter should conform to the following specifications: output DC voltage: 5V; output DC current: No less than 1200mA.
• Please buy the power adapter through official channels.
• Poor-quality or counterfeit power adapters may cause an explosion or fire.
• The power adapter is a disconnecting device; the power outlet should be installed nearby for convenient disconnection. When repairing or disassembling this product, please unplug the power adapter from the outlet.
• Please ensure that the Micro USB is dry and without dirt before charging.
• Never throw the battery into fire or expose it to an overheated environment such as sun, roasting with fire or similar conditions to avoid leakage, explosion or fire disaster.
• Please charge the headset at 5℃-35℃ to avoid degradation in battery performance.
• To prevent children from getting an electric shock, please charge this product under the guidance of parents or other guardians.
• Keep small cells and batteries which are considered swallowable out of the reach of children:
  • Swallowing may lead to burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2h of ingestion;
  • In case of ingestion of a cell or battery, seek medical assistance promptly.

Maintenance

• Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble this product without authorization. For any faults with this product, please contact imoo’s official after-sales service center..
• Avoid falling and knocking, vibrating or roughly treating this product, which may lead to damage to its internal circuit board and precise structure.
• Keep this product and its accessories dry and do not use heating tools (e.g. microwave oven, hair dryer, etc.) to dry it.
• Do not place this product and its accessories in areas where the temperature is too high or too low, otherwise, it may cause device faults, fire or explosion.
• Before cleaning and maintenance, please stop using this product, and disconnect all connections or charging cables from other devices.
• Do not use strong chemicals, detergents or strong detergents to clean this product or its accessories. Use a clean, dry and soft cloth to wipe it or its accessories.
• Never keep the magnetic stripe card (e.g. bank card, SIM card, etc.) in contact with this product for a long time. Otherwise, the magnetic stripe card may be damaged by this product’s magnetic field.

• Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss, hearing damage risk, and high sound pressure.
• For health reasons, avoid listening at high volumes for extended periods.
• RF exposure information: The EIRP power of the device at maximum case is below the exempt condition, 20mW specification in EN62479:2010.
