Cans with aluminum lids will not adhere to magnet.

California law provides that for In-Warranty Service, California residents have the option of returning a nonconforming product (A) to the store where it was purchased or (B) to another retail store which sells Cuisinart® products of the same type. The retail store shall then, according to its preferences, either repair the product, refer the consumer to an independent repair facility, replace the product, or refund the purchase price less the amount directly attributable to the consumer’s prior usage of the product. If either of the above two options does not result in the appropriate relief to the consumer, the consumer may then take the product to an independent repair facility if service or repair can be economically accomplished.
*Cuisinart and not the consumer will be responsible for the reasonable cost of such service, repair, replacement, or refund for nonconforming products under warranty.
California residents may also, at their preference, return nonconforming products directly to Cuisinart for repair or, if necessary, replacement by calling our Consumer Service Center toll-free at 1-800-726-0190. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the warranty, where is it made, and is this really stainless steel? Is the can opener actually GOOD?
Probably there was a guarantee, but I’ve since thrown the box and other materials away. Yes, the front is stainless, and the back is made of sturdy plastic.
When you put the lid back on after taking it off, does it fit snugly?
If you tried to use the lid as a lid, it would fall into the can because this can opener cuts around the top edge of the can. The purpose of this tiny device is to permanently remove the lid.
Is this can opener made of plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel?
Back and front are made of plastic. It resembles a robust plastic material with an aluminum-like appearance. Metal is stainless steel on the activation lever.
Is stainless steel used to make this opener?
The SCO-60 is made primarily of metal, with plastic making up the base and top piece (which conceal the cutting mechanism). This is seen in the image as a very tiny color variation.
Can you open small mushroom cans and tomato paste cans with this can opener?
Yes. Vegetable cans of “normal size” and smaller cans can both be opened with this opener. The paper on the can is torn and can become filthy, but it grabs the can effectively. Both sizes of cans have their can tops removed and securely held.
With this can opener, cans of tomato paste and small mushrooms be opened?
Yes. This opener may be used to open both larger and smaller vegetable cans. Despite being ripped and perhaps filthy, the can is nonetheless successfully grasped by the paper. The can tops on both sizes of cans have been taken off and are being held firmly.
Can the large nacho cheese cans be opened with this can opener?
The can wouldn’t fit beneath the cutter, in my opinion, since it would be too tall. The can opener would be lifted, making it unstable.
Does it have a lever that can be taken off to clean the blade?
Yes, you may clean the blade because the Lever/Blade unit is detachable.
How is an electric can opener maintained?
By routinely cleaning and lubricating the driving wheel and cutter, many issues with electric can openers can be avoided. To clean and lubricate the can opener’s parts, unplug it from the electrical outlet, clean them with a toothbrush and some mild soap, and then wipe them off.
What risks might a can opener present?
Bacteria can quickly start to grow on can openers. Every time they are used, these appliances come into contact with food, and pieces of food become trapped on the blade and wheels. The can opener soon becomes unclean if left unwashed, encouraging the spread of bacteria and frequently rust.
Do you open cans from the top or the side?
Well, it does not veer off course. On top, it is flat. In essence, you just lay the can opener on top of the unopened can rather than clamping the portable tool onto the edge of the can so that the knob you’re turning is aligned with the rounded side.
The can opener is used where?
a culinary tool for opening or removing the top of a metal can. From manually operated little tools to automatic openers that swiftly and simply remove the can top, there are many different types available.
