Getting started
Connect the USB cable to the power supply unit and your hub. Then plug the
power supply unit into the wall socket.If you have an Apple device
Go to the App Store and download the IKEA Home smart app. The app will take
you through the process of installing your hub and other devices.
If you have an Android device
Go to the Google Play store and download the IKEA Home smart app. The app will
take you through the process of installing your hub and other devices.
Your hub’s status lights
Understanding your hub’s status lights
Ring light – loading
Shown when the hub is connected to power and is starting up. Wait for the
light to fill the ring before proceeding with connecting the hub to the app.
Ring light softly pulsing white
This is shown once your hub has finished starting up. You can now follow the
instructions in the app to connect your hub.
Centre light constant white
Shown when the hub is connected to the internet and everything is OK.
Centre light double-blinking white
Shown when the hub is disconnected from the internet. You can continue to
control your devices through the app and your home WiFi network.
Ring light – spinning white
When your hub is updating or busy processing a large amount of information.
Rebooting your hub
Disconnect and reconnect the power to your hub to reboot it. The ring light
fills to symbolise loading while starting up. This will not delete information
on your hub.
Factory resetting
Push a pin into the pinhole on the underside of the hub until the status
lights turn off. The centre light will then blink red 4 times when the hub is
ready. Note – this deletes all previous hub information.
Adding IKEA Home smart to your hub
Follow the instructions in the app to add “Works with IKEA Home smart” devices to the hub.
Care instructions
Unplug the power supply unit from the power source before cleaning and when the hub is not in use. To clean the hub and the power supply unit, wipe with a soft cloth moistened with a small amount of mild cleaning agent. Use another soft, dry cloth to wipe dry. Never submerge the power supply unit or hub in water. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents as this can damage the products.
IMPORTANT
- The wall socket must be located near the equipment and must be easily accessible.
- Storage temperature: -20 °C to 25 °C (-4°F to 77°F).
- Operating temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C (32ºCF to 104 ºF).
- Do not leave the hub in direct sunlight or near any heat source, as it may overheat.
- Do not subject the hub or power supply unit to wet, damp or excessively dusty environments, as this may cause damage.
- The range between the hub and the receiver is measured in open air.
- Different building materials and placement of the units can affect the wireless connectivity range.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
- This equipment is only suitable for mounting at heights up to 2 m.

Product servicing
Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. If you open or remove parts,
you may expose yourself to dangerous voltage points or other risks.
