Installation Guide
After you buy downloadable software from Thomann, we’ll send you an e-mail
containing an activation code and a link to the web page where you can redeem
this code.
You’ll download your software directly from the manufacturer.
Step 1 Customer Account
Please navigate to:
http://redeem.plugivery.com
and enter the activation code we have sent you.
It begins with “PVAC”.
Follow the next steps and please make absolutely sure you enter the e-mail address correctly.
After the last click on “Proceed“, you’ll receive the installation
instructions in English and the product code from Plugivery. In the case of
AKAI
Professional, this is a discount coupon that reduces the price of the software
on the manufacturer’s homepage to zero.
Click on the link in the Plugivery e-mail that will take you to the offer page
of the software you have purchased.
and the right column, you’ll see the product price,
and below a field stating “discount code” or “coupon code”.
This is where you need to enter the code from the Plugivery e-mail.
Finally, enter your contact data and confirm your purchase at the bottom
right.
Now, the software you have purchased will be listed. You will also receive these links and serial numbers in an additional e-mail to the address you have indicated.
Step 2 iLok
In order to activate the MPC software on your computer, you’ll need a free
iLok ID and the iLok Licence Manager, likewise free.
iLok is a software copy protection system. You can only run software protected
by iLok if an authorized license has been assigned to the computer you are
running it on.
Please create a free iLok customer account here:
https://www.ilok.com/#!registration
You will be asked to enter a “User ID” in the first input field.
This can be a freely invented name or simply your e-mail address.
The only important thing is that this ID must not be already taken by
another user.
Please then download the installation file for the iLok License Manager
(https://www.ilok.com/#!license-manager) and launch the installation by
double-clicking.
Once the iLok License Manager has been installed on your device, you can
install your AKAI software.
Step 3 MPC Software
Please first launch the installation of the main program (MPC 2) and select “MPC Software” or one of the hardware controllers listed, as long as you have one and it is connected to your device.
Follow the further installation steps until the installation has been successfully
On the first launch of your software, you will be asked to activate the software on your device. This is where you need the iLok Manager you have previously installed.
In the e-mail you have received from AKAI, you’ll find your assigned iLok
activation code. If you copy&paste this code, make sure that you do not copy
any empty spaces
Now enter your iLok ID and password
You can store the software either on your device or on the Pace iLok 3 USB
flash drive if you have it. If not, you can order it from us.
Your license will now be activated and you can use the software freely.
