Overview
Thank you very much for purchasing the SRC: Seat Remote Control Device.
- This device allows the passenger power seat in the Lexus SC430 and Soarer to be fully controlled by switching it over with the driver’s power seat switch.
- By turning on the switch of this device, you can fully control the passenger seat while remaining in the driver’s seat.
- Even when a child or someone unfamiliar with operating a seat is in the car, the front-to-rear position of the passenger seat and the angle of the backrest can be adjusted using a switch on the driver’s seat.
- It’s very smart because you don’t have to lean over to operate a switch in the passenger seat or get out of the car to operate it.
- This device ensures that passenger controls are always in your hands.
- This device switches the relay with battery power, so it can be always used. (Please be careful not to forget to turn it off after use.)
- To install, simply insert and connect the connectors on the back of the left and right seat switches, then install the selector switch and connect it.
- You can choose either Plan A or Plan B as shown in the photo on the right for the installation location of the switch.
- You can also provide your own ON-OFF switch and place it in a location of your choice.
- It’s very easy, as you just need to place the left and right relay units in the spaces on the left and right under the rear seats.
- The original version of this device was conceived by me in 2011, and was self-made and has proven to be trouble-free for approximately 13 years. However, I have now made an improved version that can be easily installed by anyone, and have begun selling it.
- In improving and manufacturing the product, we placed emphasis on reliability and safety above all else, and also carefully considered the procurement of parts to keep the cost low. The connectors are genuine equivalents and are securely fastened, and the relay body has been thoroughly checked for quality and operational integrity before being adopted. Furthermore, after assembly, we conduct bench tests to confirm normal operation before completing the product, so you can use it with confidence.
Caution
- As stated in the product description on the purchase page, this is a private listing, so please make sure you fully understand the product usage instructions and precautions before installing and using the product at your own risk.
- The product consists of a relay and wiring. If you lift it by grabbing only the wiring, you may apply unexpected force which may cause the wiring to come loose or cause a poor connection, so be sure to grab the relay body.
- The relay part is wrapped in cushioning tape, but it will be installed with that in mind, so do not open it under any circumstances.
- Opening the product may cause poor wiring contact, etc. In that case, we will not be able to accept returns or provide compensation.
How to install

Driver’s side connector connection
- Pass the driver’s side connector from under the seat to the rear of the power seat switch.
- Remove the original connector at the rear of the power seat switch and insert the product connector.
- Insert the removed OEM connector into the product connector.
- Pull the wiring cable slightly from under the seat to place the connector into the space.
Installation of the changeover switch and wiring connection
-
Use the 22 mm drill bit included with the product to drill a hole where you want to install the switch. Please refer to the photos on the overview page and choose Plan A or Plan B. Make sure there is enough space behind where you drill the holes to accommodate the switch. Be careful not to damage the internal wiring.(Drill tooth specifications are subject to change.)
-
Place the selector switch in the hole and tighten the ring from the back to secure it in place.
-
Connect the terminal of the power wire coming out of the selector switch to the terminal of the power wire with the cable.
-
Insert the end of the thin claw for extracting power from the selector switch into the terminal part of the connector on the back of the lumbar support switch.
Then secure it with a tie wrap so that it does not come off. (Insert the black and white wire (+) on the changeover switch side into the top of the blue and white wire terminal (+) on the connector terminal part.) (Insert the black wire (-) on the changeover switch side into the top of the black and white wire terminal (-) on the connector terminal part.)
Caution ⇒If the metal parts of the (+) and (-) tabs come into contact, a short circuit will occur, so please be careful. -
When the changeover switch is turned ON, make sure that the blue lamp turns on and that you hear a clicking noise from the relay.
-
To prevent any slack in the wiring of the selector switch, use a cable tie to secure it to nearby wiring.
-
Secure the cable to the black horizontal bar at the bottom of the seat body with a cable tie.
-
Put the driver’s seat cover back in place. When you pass the lever for lowering the seat back through the cover, Be careful not to catch the switch wiring.
Install the passenger side cable and connect the connector.
Please follow the same procedure as for the driver’s side. (There is no switch
wiring on the passenger side.)
Operation test
- Turn the selector switch to the ON position and check that the passenger seat can be moved using the power seat switch on the driver’s side. At this time, the passenger seat power switch cannot be used.
- Turn the selector switch to the OFF position and check that both the passenger side and the driver side return to normal operation.
Place the relay unit under the rear seat.
- Lift the front of the rear seat up in one go to remove the entire seat.
- After wrapping the left and right relay units in bubble wrap (to prevent rattling noise), place the relay units in the spaces on both sides of the bottom of the seat. (The photo shows the right seat side.)
- Adjust the position of the cables connecting the left and right relays and return the seat to its original position.
- Adjust the position of the cable coming out of the relay to the power seat switch. Hide the cable under the mat. (The photo below shows the cable on the left seat.)
Optional Procedures
- You can prepare your own size switch and install it wherever you like.
- If you don’t want to drill a hole, you can use a cigarette lighter socket with a switch instead. (This will be the ACC power source.)
- If you are concerned about the cable being exposed from under the rear seat, you can cut a slit in the carpet to allow the connector and cable to pass through and pass them under the carpet, whichever you prefer.
Usage and Precautions
- The device is powered by a battery, so it can be used even when the engine is not running. (Please be careful not to forget to turn off the switch after use.)
- When the changeover switch is turned ON, the passenger seat can be moved using the driver’s seat power seat switch.
- There are four channels that can be moved: forward/backward sliding, reclining, front up/down, and lift up/down.
- When the selector switch is ON, the passenger seat power switch cannot be used, but it can be used normally if the selector switch is turned OFF.
- If the device is not working properly, please check that the wiring to the selector switch system is connected correctly, that the wiring has not been cut off by being pinched by the reclining handle, and that the power wiring on the back of the lumbar support switch has not been disconnected. Also make sure the 2A fuse is not blown.
