Please do not keep emergency key in your safe!
Operating instructions
The operating manual represents a component part of the device. It contains important information regarding safety, use and disposal. Familiarize yourself with all the operating and safety information before starting to use the device. Only use the device as described and for the purpose for which it is intended. Hand over all the documents with the device if it is transferred to third parties.

Safety information regarding handling batteries
Warning! Risk of suffocation through batteries.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Seek medical attention immediately if one is swallowed.
Caution! There are different risks involved when dealing with batteries.
- Never attempt to recharge standard batteries, never short circuit batteries and/or open batteries. Doing so leads to a potential risk of overheating, fire or explosion.
- Improper handling of batteries/rechargeable batteries can endanger your health and the environment. Batteries/rechargeable batteries may contain toxic and environmentally harmful heavy metals (Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead). Therefore, hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point. Therefore, separate disposal and recycling of spent batteries is essential for the environment and health.
- Ensure the connection terminals are not short-circuited.
- Never throw batteries into a fire or water.
- Never expose batteries to any mechanical loads.
- Leaking batteries could cause damage to the device. If a battery should start to leak, remove it from the device immediately to prevent any further damage. Take the utmost care when handling damaged or leaking batteries and always wear protective gloves.
- Avoid any contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Rinse any parts of the body which have come into contact with battery acid with plenty of clean water and contact a doctor immediately. Avoid extreme conditions and temperatures which could affect the batteries, e.g., by placing them on radiators or exposing them to direct sunlight.
- Only use batteries of the type specified.
- Never use batteries of different types or new and old batteries together.
- Ensure batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
- If the device will not be used for a longer period, switch the device off and remove the batteries.
- Remove empty batteries from the device and dispose of them according to the applicable directives.
- The batteries must be removed from the device before its disposal.
- You are legally obliged to dispose of batteries at your dealer or at the collection points provided by the responsible waste disposal authority.

Check the package contents of the safe before you actually use the safe. If anything is missing or damaged, contact our Service Department.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES
- Remove the battery cover on CEU.
- Insert 4 X AA batteries into the battery compartment.
CAUTION: Replace 4 fresh alkaline batteries by lining them up in a manner as indicated by the “+”.
Turn on the CEU
- Turn on the CEU by press switch to “I”.
- The CEU display will show “GOOD”.
OPEN SAFE WITH CEU
- Turn on the CEU.
- Connect the CEU and safe panel with USB wire.
- The following steps need to be operated on CEU.
- Enter the preset management code “1111” then press “#” to confirm.
- Enter the preset unlock code “2222” then press “#” to confirm.
- The safe and CEU’s display will show “OPENED”, which means the safe will be opened.
CAUTION: The USB wire must be connected to the “For safe” port on CEU.
CHANGE THE MANAGEMENT CODE OF CEU
- Turn on the CEU.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input the original management code.
- Press “*” once then press “1” once, the display will show “NEW-C1”.
- Then input 4 digits new management code and press “#” once to confirm.
- The display will show “DONE” which means new management code setting is successful.
CAUTION : The factory set management code is “1111”.
CHANGE THE UNLOCK CODE OF CEU
- Turn on the CEU.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input the original unlock code.
- Press “*” once then press “2” once, the display will show “NEW-C2”.
- Then input 4 digits new unlock code and press “#” once to confirm.
- The display will show “DONE” which means new unlock code setting is successful.
CAUTION: The factory set unlock code is “2222”. Please do not set the unlock code to the same number as the management code.
CEU’S SERIAL NUMBER SETTING
- Turn on the CEU.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input “7207”, then press “*” once and press “5” once.
- Input the new CEU serial number, then press “#” once.
- The display will show “DONE” which means the new serial number setting is successful.
CAUTION: In factory settings, the serial number of CEU is “0000”.
SAFE’S SERIAL NUMBER SETTING
- The CEU need to enter the OVERRIDE mode before safe’s serial number setting!
- Turn on the CEU. (Please do not connect CEU and safe in advance!)
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input “1213”, then press “*6” once and the display will be off, the CEU will enter the OVERRIDE mode.
- Connect the CEU and safe with USB wire.
- Input the old safe’s serial number on CEU then press “*” to confirm.
- Then input the new safe’s serial number on CEU and press “#” to confirm.
- The display will show “DONE” which means the new safe’s serial number setting is successful.
- If you need to set same serial number to other safes, you can connect CEU with other safe then just press “#” once.
CAUTION: The USB wire must be connected to the “For safe” port on CEU. Once finished safe’s serial number setting, please exit OVERRIDE MODE, then you can make other settings!
EXIT OVERRIDE MODE
- To exit CEU’s OVERRIDE mode, please turn off the CEU and restart after 10 seconds.
CEU TIME SETTING
- Turn on the CEU.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input “7112”, then press “*” once and press “4” once.
- Input date as order of “year-month-day”. For instance,”2022,Jan,25th” shall be input as “220125”.
- Press “#” to confirm and the display will turn to next page.
- Input time as order of “hour-minute-second”. For instance,”15H:30M:45S” shall be input as “153045”.
- Press “#” to confirm and the display will show “DONE” .
SAFE TIME SETTING BY CEU
- Once “CEU TIME SETTING” is finished, the date & time can be transferred to the safes by CEU. Turn on the CEU.
- Connect the CEU and safe panel with USB wire.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input “7112”, then press “*” once and press “0” once.
- The display will show “DONE” which means time setting is successful.
CAUTION: The USB wire must be connected to the “For safe” port on CEU.
DOWNLOAD THE SAFE OPEN RECORD
- Turn on the CEU.
- Connect the CEU and safe panel with USB wire.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input “7112”, then press “*” once and press “8” once.
- The CEU display will show count from “READ00” to “READ99”, meanwhile the safe display will show countdown from “SD-099” to “SD-000”.
- Once the safe display shows “GOOD” and the CEU’s display shows “DONE”, it means open record download to CEU is successful.
CAUTION: The USB wire must be connected to the “For safe” port on the CEU.
READ OPEN RECORD ON COMPUTER
- Turn on the CEU.
- Connect the CEU and computer with USB wire.
- Open the software “CA” .
- Choose the matched port (you can try different COM one by one or find the matched port in Device Manager)
- Then click “read” and the software will show open history.
CAUTION: The open record reading software “CA” has to be installed on the computer in advance! The USB wire must be connected to the “For computer” port on the CEU. (For CA software please contact service hotline.)
RESTORE THE MANAGEMENT CODE AND UNLOCK CODE TO FACTORY SETTINGS
- Turn on the CEU.
- Press the “*” twice and the display will show “PROG”.
- Input “0708”, then press “*” once and press “9” once.
- The display will show “RESET” which means the management code and unlock code are restored to factory settings.
CAUTION: The factory default management code of the CEU is “1111”. The factory default unlock code of the CEU is “2222”
Special reminder: CEU for hotel use only! Please modify the serial number of the CEU (hand device) and the hotel safe at the same time. The two serial numbers must be consistent!

Cleaning
Clean the surface of the housing with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any solvents or cleaning agents.
Disposal
| Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local regulations.

| The device and packaging materials can be recycled; sort them for disposal
to simplify waste management. The Triman logo is only relevant for France.
| The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials that you can
dispose of at local recycling points. Advice on the options with which to
dispose of your old device can be obtained from your municipal or local
administration offices.
| The adjacent symbol indicates laws dictate that electrical and electronic
apparatus no longer required must be disposed of separate from domestic waste.
Dispose of your device at a collection point provided by your local public
waste authority. Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local
regulations.
| Defective or empty batteries must
be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Return
batteries and the device via the collection points provided.
| Observe the identification on the packaging materials during the waste
sorting process; they are identified by abbreviations (b) and numbers (a)
which have the following significance: 1–7: plastic/20–22: paper and
cardboard/80–98: composite materials.
| The device and the packaging material can be recycled, so sort them prior to
disposal for better waste management. Contact your local authorities for
information on the various options available to ensure correct disposal.
Observe the following identifications of the packaging materials: (a) numbers,
(b) abbreviations and (c) materials which have the following significance:
1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and cardboard / 80–98: composite materials and
(d) type of packaging. The logo is only applicable to Italy.

batteries free of charge from your dealer.
