IMPORTANT! KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE AND FOLLOW ALL IMPORTANT USE AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.

THE INTERNATIONAL HIP DYSPLASIA INSTITUTE ACKNOWLEDGES THE BABY K’TAN BABY CARRIER AS A “HIP-HEALTHY” PRODUCT WHEN USED AS DIRECTED. WARNING

Failure to follow these warnings and the manufacturer’s instructions can result in death or serious injury. Only use this carrier with children weighing between 8 and 35 pounds.
SUFFOCATION HAZARD

  • Babies younger than 4 months can suffocate in this product if face is pressed tightly against your body. Babies at greatest risk of suffocation include those born prematurely and those with respiratory problems.
  • Check often to make sure baby’s face is uncovered, clearly visible, and away from caregiver’s body at all times.
  • Make sure baby does not curl into a position with the chin resting on or near baby’s chest. This position can interfere with breathing, even when nothing is covering the nose or mouth.
  • If you nurse your baby in carrier, always reposition after feeding so baby’s face is not pressed against your body.
  • Never use this carrier with babies smaller than 8 pounds without seeking the advice of a healthcare professional.

FALL HAZARD

  • Leaning, bending over, or tripping can cause baby to fall. Keep one hand on baby while moving.

WARNING – When using this baby carrier, constantly monitor your child.
Please read all instructions in accompanying manual or visit babyktan.com/pages/sizing-and-safety for a ra copy of our user manual and baby wearing safety and sizing tips.

THE perfect FIT
The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier is individually sized to the wearer, eliminating the need to adjust it. Refer to our sizing chart to select your size or use our sizing calculator.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE?
The Baby K’tan Baby Carrier should fit snugly.
Use your pre-pregnancy size and size down if you are in-between categories or 5’2” or shorter; age and weight of your baby is not a factor. The carrier should feel tighter than expected initially, but it will stretch with use.

FAQ

• Is the Baby K’tan a wrap?

No! Wraps are made of a single, long piece of fabric while the Baby K'tan has a patented double-loop design. This allows you to wear the Baby K’tan without any wrapping, while still providing all of the same positions and benefits of a wrap!

• Can my partner and I share?

The Baby K’tan is a personal item of clothing. It is meant to fit like a “snug” t-shirt. Two people can share if they are the same size; however if one size will fityour partner and another would fit you, we recommend that you each purchase your own size in order to have a secure and comfortable fit.

• Will my Baby K’tan shrink?

The Baby K’tan is designed to stretch with use and tighten up in the wash. Accordingly, the carrier may feel snug after washing; however, the cross stretch of the fabric enables the Baby K'tan to stretch back out.

• Is it good for my baby’s hips?
