Corsica Ultracompact Limited 25-Year Tranferrable Residential Warranty
COSENTINO, S.A.U. (Cosentino) guarantees the registered owner that its Corsica
Ultracompact
(Ultracompact) product will be free from manufacturing defects from the date
of installation when fabricated and permanently installed in a single-family
residence by an Authorized installer. If it is determined by Cosentino or its
authorized warranty service agent that a manufacturing defect in the material
exists, Cosentino will, at its option, repair or replace the defective
Ultracompact product.
This warranty is limited to the purchases of Ultracompact Surfaces and is
transferrable. Cosentino reserves the right not to offer the free warranty
service if the requirements outlined in the preceding paragraph are not met,
or if the information provided is false, incomplete, or illegible.
What this 25-Year Warranty Covers
- This warranty applies to Ultracompact Surface materials only.
- This warranty covers Ultracompact Surfaces that have been purchased from an Authorized Ultracompact Installer or Dealer (“Authorized Installer”)
- This warranty covers Ultracompact Surfaces that have been permanently installed in your single-family residence by an Authorized Installer and have not been moved from their original installation.
- Subject to the limitations stated herein, this warranty covers products that have been maintained according to the Ultracompact Surfaces Care and Maintenance and set forth on www.cosentino.com
- This warranty covers cracking caused by exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, as well as thermal shock cracking.
- This warranty covers stains due to common food, beverages, and household products, provided that proper care and maintenance guidelines have been followed.
- This warranty covers fading due to direct exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, both indoors and outdoors.
- This warranty covers Ultracompact Surfaces that are applied to barbecues, fireplaces, or any surface wthatmay be exposed to heat, provided that the applicable installation manuals available at www.cosentino.com are strictly adhered to.
- This warranty covers these surfaces that have been maintained ibythe cleaning and maintenance guidelines, which can be found at www.cosentino.com.
What this 25-Year Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover Ultracompact Surfaces that have not been paid for in full.

This warranty does not cover Ultracompact Surfaces that have been moved from their original installation.

This warranty does not cover “commercial uses” of Ultracompact products. “Commercial uses” include but are not limited to use in commercial buildings such as retail stores, restaurants, offices, hotels, or apartment complexes.

This warranty does not cover Ultracompact products that you, the customer, decide you do not like after installation due to color, pattern, layout, edging styles, or other opinions based on personal preference.

Ultracompact Surfaces are intended to have a natural and non-uniform appearance thus this warranty does not cover any variations in color, tone, shade particle structure, or gloss level.

This warranty does not cover differences between samples or photographs of Ultracompact products and the true product purchased.

This warranty does not cover products exposed to abnormal use conditions or abuse in any way. Abnormal use or conditions includes but is not limited to, damage from mishandling or misuse, physical or chemical abuse, and failure to follow proper care and maintenance instructions, specifically maintenance or damage from chipping, cracking, impact damage, or breaking due to customer misuse.

This warranty does not cover cracking due to an external force or interaction such as impact from a heavy object, uneven cabinets or flooring, structural settling or movements below the countertop or floor (cabinets, flooring, foundation, etc.), improper installation or other conditions in the residence that may cause the Ultracompact Surfaces to shift.

This warranty does not cover chipping or other impact damage to the Ultracompact Surface. Chipping does not occur because of defective material; chipping is the result of the bumping or impact of an object against the surface.

This warranty does not cover seam appearance
or performance, adhesives, caulk, or other accessory items. -
This warranty does not cover wear marks on the Ultracompact products including but not limited
to metal marks, fingerprints smudges, or other similar wear indicators caused by the use of utensils. -
This warranty does not cover any failures due to inadequate support for the installation, including overhangs over the recommendations provided by Cosentino, which are inadequately supported.

This warranty does not cover failures due to improper fabrication or installation.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by actions taken by third parties not related to Cosentino, such as problems caused by incorrect finish/preparation of the product, improper installation methods, or other modifications or manipulation of the original Ultracompact product.

This warranty does not cover Ultracompact products that have been treated or covered with unapproved chemicals or coatings.

Cosentino is not responsible for damage or injury caused in whole or in part by acts of God, job site conditions, architectural and engineering design, structural settling or movement, acts of vandalism, or accidents.

This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damage, loss, or expense other than the product itself, including, but not limited to, damage to other products or installations, or additional or supplementary repairs/modifications on plumbing, electrical, tile, masonry work or wall surface modifications that may be necessary to repair or replace the Ultracompact product covered by this warranty. Such other repairs and modifications shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

This warranty specifically excludes damage that could result from a defect that is covered, including those that occur during the period the claim is being processed, as well as throughout the period the product is being replaced. This exclusion extends but is not limited to, any harm, including loss of profit, affecting commercial, industrial, professional, or merely living activities, which the consumer, purchaser of the product, or any third party may suffer.

Some Ultracompact colors may only be suitable for use in a specific application. Cosentino will provide information to the customer on the patterns of the different colors for use in a specific application and should not rely on any other oral or written statements to the contrary. By purchasing these colors in particular, the customer agrees to indemnify and exempt Cosentino from all rights and claims under the warranty if such colors are used and applied contrary to Cosentino’s recommendations.
