34UGVC Universal Gas Vent Cap

READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING THE PROJECT. REMEMBER, SAFETY COMES FIRST. OUR VENTING SYSTEMS ARE DESIGNED FOR INSTALLATION BY A QUALIFIED PERSON IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL BUILDING CODES. REFER TO THE MAIN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETE DETAILS ABOUT INSTALLING THE GAS VENT SYSTEM.

CAUTION:
WEAR CUT RESISTANT GLOVES WHILE HANDLING METAL PARTS TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY. SHARP EDGES OR PROJECTIONS CAN CUT YOU.

WARNING
Failure to follow the installation instructions could cause FIRE, CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING, OR DEATH. If you are unsure of installation requirements, call the telephone number listed on these instructions.

1. Adjust the worm gear clamp so it will fit over the outer diameter of the Gas Vent Pipe. Place the Universal Gas Vent Cap over the pipe so the brackets come in contact with the top of the pipe. Make sure the proper pipe diameter is against the bent part of the brackets. See Figure 1.’
2. Ensure the Universal Gas Vent Cap is fully seated flush to the top of the Gas Vent male end. Tighten securely the worm gear clamp around the outside of the Gas Vent Pipe. See Figure 2. To remove, loosen up the worm gear clamp and lift the Universal Gas Vent Cap from the Pipe.

ATTENTION: Check the Universal Gas Vent Cap frequently for ice or creosote accumulation. Remove any blockage which has occured.
