Step 1: Get the CarScanner app

Scan the QR code

Using Instructions

STEP 2: Plug ScanX into the OBD2 port

• The OBD port is usually located under the steering column or in the handbrake area

STEP 3: Press the power button to turn on the ScanX

• For Android devices, you need to perform pairing in the Bluetooth settings.
• Connect to CARLS ScanX from the list of devices found.
• Connection code: 1234

STEP 4: Turn the ignition on, but do not start the engine

STEP 5: In the CarScanner app settings, select CARLS ScanX

Open the CarScanner app and go to: Settings → Adapter OBDII ELM327 → Bluetooth LE (4.0+) – Select device: CARLS ScanX

• This setting needs to be done once. The next time you connect, the adapter will connect automatically.

STEP 6

• Start the engine

• Wait about 10 seconds after the engine has started successfully.

STEP 7: Connect to vehicle ECU

• You can start diagnostics after a successful connection.

Troubleshooting

The device cannot find the Bluetooth CAR2LS ScanX network

1. Check the power of the OBDII connector & Check if the ignition is on
2. Try turning off the ignition, removing the adapter from the OBDIIconnector, reconnecting it and turning on the ignition
3. Try searching for bluetooth using another device

Adapter loses communication with the ECU

1. Make sure that no high-powered appliances are plugged into the vehicle’s mains
2. There are strong voltage fluctuations in the car network, so the adapter can not work steadily

CarScanner app cannot connect to the ECU

1. In the application settings, check the selected connection profile
2. Try reinstalling the application
3. You may need to use a specialized application for your make of car

Warranty

The warranty for the device is 12 months from the date of sale. During the warranty period, the device is repaired or replaced free of charge, subject to the consumer’s compliance with the operating rules. In case of mechanical damage and malfunctions, the presence of traces of interference with the integrity of the product (damage to the slots of the screws, the integrity of the housing, etc. signs), the warranty is canceled.
The warranty does not cover the incompatibility of the autoscanner or the software with your vehicle.

Keep these operating instructions and the purchase receipt until the end af the warranty period. These documents ore the basis for the warranty service.
