Product Usage Instructions
1. Turning On/Off the Recorder
To turn on the device, press the PLAY button without releasing it for three seconds. To turn it off, repeat the same step.
2. Recording
To begin recording, push the REC button up. To end the recording, push the REC button down.
3. Play Recording
Press the PLAY button to play the recorded files. Use the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons to navigate through the recordings. Adjust the volume using the corresponding buttons.
4. Save/End Recording
After recording, press the REC button down to save and end the recording process.
5. Deleting Recording
To delete a recording, select the file and tap the DELETE button. Confirm deletion when prompted.
6. Managing Folders
You can manage folders A, B, C, and D by pressing the PLAY button to access and navigate through the files in each folder.
7. Data Transfer
To transfer data to a computer, connect the device using the provided Type-C cable. Backup important files onto your computer.
8. Charging
Ensure the device is fully charged using the Type-C cable provided. The display will go dark after 5 minutes of inactivity to save power.
FAQ
How do I reset the recorder if it freezes?
If the recorder freezes, use a small object to poke the RESET hole without releasing for 15 seconds.
What should I avoid doing with the recorder?
- Avoid scratching the recorder’s body.
- Do not delete files unless they have been backed up.
- Avoid using the sleeper time function unnecessarily.
- Avoid cutting off power during formatting.
- Avoid pressing buttons when connected to a computer.
- Do not use non-original Type-C cables for data transfer.
- Avoid using the Auto Record Function unnecessarily.
- Avoid using the Voice Activated Function excessively.

Important Notice for Using This Device
- If the recorder got stuck, frozen, dead, or buttons not working, use a small thing to poke the right RESET hole without release for 15 seconds around. (This step will not erase files)
- Test the recorder before formal recording
- Remember to end the recording each time by pushing REC Button Down
- Connect the recorder onto the computer to back up your important recorded files frequently

Do not do this
- Do not scratch the recorder body. if typing or writing near the device while record function is on, it will capture the noise.
- Do not delete a file or format the device unless the files have been backed up.
- Do not turn on the sleeper time function unless needed, as this will force the device to shut down, even if in use.
- Do not cut off power while formatting device.
- Do not use the Auto Record Function unless needed, as device will automatically boot up to record.
- Do not press any buttons when device is connected to a computer.
- Do not use non-original type c cable to transfer data from device to computer. Not all them support data transfer.
- Do not use the Voice Activated Function unless needed. It may not record some low-decibel voice you want recorded.

Quick Start Guide
- Turn ON device: Press the PLAY button without release for three seconds to turn on the device.
- Recording: push up the REC button to begin recording.
- Save Recording: press down REC button to save the recording.
- Delete Recording: when turn on the device, press to select Recordings, and Recording library by pressing Play key , and then press the DEL button. We can delete the file we just saw. Or, select to delete all files.
- Play a Recording: by pressing the PLAY button turn on the device, press button to choose the recording you wish to hear -> press PLAY.
- Play Next / Previous Recording: press the button.
- Fast Forward / Rewind: when playing the file, press and hold the button.
- Recording Space : when pressing recording, the screen will show how many hours the device can record.
- A-B Repeat: when playing the file, press A-B button, we can use A-B repeat.
- Bookmark: during recording, short press the T-MARK button, can make 10 bookmarks at most.
Menu Options
Press we can return to MAIN menu. The PLAY button works as OK/Confirm in menu options.

Record folder
- Press Play (turn on the device)-> tap -> press to select Recordings -> Hit PLAY, there are A,B,C,D folder

- Go to Recordings libray, all files stored in A folder are shown there

Record Settings
- Press Play (turn on device) -> hit press to select Recordings – Record Settings -> Hit PLAY, we can see all recording function and settings from here.

Record Format WAV/MP3
Select this Record Format, hit PLAY, we can choose WAV Rec or MP3 Rec. Hit PLAY to save your choice. -
Set Rec bitrate
After choosing the Record Format, we can change the recording bit rate from this option
Set Recording Scene
- A. Normal scene
- B. Outdoor scene
- C. Meetings scene
- D. Long-range scene
Track AVR Mode (voice-activated recording)
- AVR Switch: turn on / off Activated Voice Record Mode
- AVR Level: select the voice activated recorder sensitivity level
- At AVR mode, we still need to push SAVE to save recordings when we complete a recording task. Voice Activated Sensitive Level
From Level 1 to Level 6: Level 1 picks up voice or sound above 40db. Level 1
is the most sensitive level, so any quiet sound will be recorded. (i.e. normal
environmental noise will activate recording).
Note: do not turn on this function for important lectures or meetings. It may
skip or lose some very important sentences at low decibels. Use regular
on/record/stop for meetings.
Record Subsection
Select at these settings, hit PLAY, We can choose the recording file time length at Half Hour, One Hour, Half an Hour, and CLOSE. When this function was set, the recording device will automatically save a file at the selected time length and auto start the other new recording, unless we push the recording button down to save and exit this mode.
Monitor Switch
Turn On this function, plug in earphones, we can hear and monitor what it is recording
Record Light
ON: default. LED indicator light is ON. OFF: turn off the LED indicator light.
Auto Record
- Record on/off: turn on the auto record function
- Start Time: set when the device start to record
- End Time: set when the device save file and stop record
- Auto Record Cycle: set auto record function cycle. It can function at Once, Daily or Work Day
To use this function properly, we must do this:
A. Set correctly system time for the device
Notice: If you wanna save the recording in advace, press the button to end the recording
Record From
When insert line-in cable or external microphone, we push up REC to record, we need select correct recording source
- External MIC: record from an external microphone
- LINE IN: record from line
Music
Press Play (turn on device)-> tap press to select Music -> Hit PLAY, we can see all music file on the devices from here(Note: do not put songs inside the RECORD folder. Put them in MUSIC folder.)
Play mode
When playing/pause a recording file or music, press M button enter Play mode At this option,it can set at Repeat one, Repeat all, Shuffle
Notice: shuffle, it will play files in random
Variable Speed Playback
Set the playback speed rate from -8 to +8, higher number, faster speed. -8 rate, it means playback speed it is 8 times lower than normal
Sound effect
It can set off, vocal, Treble, Bass, Excite, Relax
Bookmarks
Add bookmarks for the file
A-b Repeat
When playing file, press right A-B button. A appears on the screen and B blinks. Recorder selected the start point. Press A-B button again, selected ended point B. Now it will play only between Point A to B.
Set
Language
English default. We can select for another language of the device. If, unfortunately, the device is set to the wrong language, please contact customer service.
Date and time
Time Settings
Select at Time settings, Hit PLAY
Press +/- to adjust, press to move next. When set correctly, hit PLAY to confirm and finish setting. Select at Set time Format, we can choose the time display format.

Password Set
- Password switch: OFF default. When turn it on, we need to set password for the device
- Password set: input a 6 digits password. Press +/- to set the numbers. Press / to move to next, hit PLAY to confirm
Note
- If forgot the password, please enter 18 18 18, and then hold button for more than 3 seconds to reset the device
- If the password function is ON, when connecting to the computer, we need to input correct password, otherwise, it will fail connect to a computer
Backlight Timer
It can set 10seconds, 20seconds, 30seconds, always on. When always on, the device screen will not go dark, it will consume a lot of battery power.
Brightness
It can set the brightness of the screen from 0-15
Sleeper Time
- OFF: close this function
- Set sleep timer: we can set at 10, 30, 60,or 120 Minutes
- Notice: When this function was ON, device will count down the time, and force to shut down the device when time elapsed
Information
Player Information:
Device shows the model and firmware version.
Disk space:
Device shows the free space and total space.
Factory Reset
Restores to factory default. Very helpful if confusion arises when creating settings. Select Yes, press PLAY to confirm. Device will start to restore factory settings. When completed, it will show Restored!
Format device
This will format the disk and erase all data on the device, so remember to back up important files before doing. Select Yes, press PLAY confirm. Device will start to reformat and erase all data. Wait until the device reboots and completes the process.
Note: Do not turn off power when formatting device. If, unfortunately, the device is mistakenly cut off, it will show as disk error.
To correct disk error/ File format not supported
Press and hold PLAY button to turn off device. Connect the device to a Windows computer, and format the disk from the computer to return to normal state.

Line-in / External microphone recording
Line-in recording: using a two-end 3.5mm audio cable, one end plug to the red
mark hole of the voice recorder, the other end plug to the connected device.
After connection, push the recording button up, Microphone and Line-in
selection will pop up , select Line-in , then press the middle PLAY button
confirm the setting. External microphone recording: the same way as Line-in
connection. The microphone needs 3-section head. Some on the market are
4-section head which is not suitable for the voice recorder. NOTE: does not
support Stereo cable.

No Voice Recordings
If there is no voice recording or all recordings have been deleted, when the device is turned on it will display “no voice recordings” or “no songs” on the screen. Not to worry, go ahead and press REC or M (menu). -
How to Turn Off the Record Light
Go to Menu -> Record setting -> button -> Record light -> select OFF. When recording, the record light will not light up or flash. -
Format Error
This issue happens in 3 situations. -
The recorder is wrongly turned off while the recording is being recorded that not saved by pushing the end button. So we need to push the recording button Down before turning off the recorder.

The recording time is less than 5 seconds.

The computer does not support the .wav file. The recordings were saved as .wav format. For WINDOWS 10 or MAC user who may encounter with this issue. So we can download free MplayerX or VLC Media Player to solve this issue.

Failed to Connect to Computer
Before connecting the recorder to a computer, turn off the recorder. Reset the recorder by poking and holding the right RESET hole for 15 seconds around. The device would turn on. When connecting to a computer, do not press any buttons on the recorder or do any operations on the recorder. Otherwise, it will exit connection mode, and fail to connect to the computer. Can Recordings Be Deleted from the Computer?
- Yes. When the recorder is successfully connected to a computer, find it as the removable drive name “V618.” All recordings are saved in a folder named “A,B,C,D folder” in the drive. Before deleting,please backup on computer if the file is important.
