PRODUCT FUNCTIONS
Tock the Learning Clock™ is here to help your child learn how to tell time! Simply turn the clock hands and Tock will announce the time.
How to Use
Be sure batteries are installed before use. See Battery Information at the end of this guide.
Setting the Time
- Press and hold the HOUR button next to the display screen until the numbers are flashing. Advance the hours to the desired time by pressing the HOUR button. Use the minute button underneath to advance the minutes. To advance faster, hold the minute button. Once the time is set correctly, the screen will stop flashing and display the time.
- Now, press the TIME button and Tock will announce the correct time!
Teaching Time
- Now it’s time to learn and explore! Turn the minute hand on the clock to any time (in 5-minute increments) and Tock will announce the time. This is a great way to learn how to read an analog clock display. Please note—turn the minute hand only. As you turn the minute hand clockwise, the hour hand will also advance.
Quiz Mode
- Press the QUESTION MARK button to enter Quiz Mode. You have three TIME questions to answer. First, Tock will ask you to find a particular time. Now, you must turn the clock hands to show that time. Get it right and move on to the next question! After three questions, Tock will default back to Clock Mode.
Music Time
- Press the MUSIC button on the top of Tock’s head. Now, turn the clock hands and stop on any time for a silly song surprise! After three songs, Tock will default back to Clock Mode.
“OK to Wake” Alert
- Tock has a night-light that can change color. Use this to let little learners know when it’s OK to get out of bed. To use this feature, press and hold the ALARM button on Tock’s back. The alarm icon will flash on the display screen. Now, use the hour and minute hands to set the “ok to wake” time. Press the ALARM button again. The GREEN light should flash twice, indicating that the wake time is set, and the ALARM icon will appear on the screen.
- You can turn on the night light by pressing the button in Tock’s hand. A BLUE light means stay in bed, while a GREEN light means it’s ok to get up and play!
Reset
- If the analog and digital clocks become out of sync, press the reset button by inserting a paperclip or pin into the pinhole on the back of the clock.
