HOW TO CHOOSE A GOOD LOCATION FOR YOUR CEILING FAN

  1. According to the regulations and to provide a safe distance from the ground, the lowest point of the fan blade must be at least 2.1 metres above the ground.
  2. For enclosed outdoor fans, the fan must be installed at least 1.5 m from the perimeter of the roof/eaves of the enclosure to protect the product from direct or indirect rain or sunlight.
  3. The location chosen for the fan must not allow the rotating blades to come into contact with any object.
  4. Please check carefully and make sure that the ceiling joists are strong enough and of the right size to support a weight of about 35 kg.
  5. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, please ensure that the fan mounting bracket is directly supported by the building structure. Do not mount to an electrical outlet box.
  6. Attach the fan blades once the fan motor housing has been installed and properly secured. Keep the fan motor and fan blades in the original packaging until ready for installation.
  7. Check and confirm, once the fan is fully installed, that all connections are adequate and secure to prevent the fan from falling or causing damage to your property or personal injury.
  8. Both the fan with the light kit (accessory) and the mounting bracket must be connected to an earth ground. Do not remove the fan from the ceiling after installation.
  9. Ensure that the power is disconnected from the main power box before starting work. Turn off the power by removing the fuses or turning off the circuit breaker before installing the fan.
