This user manual contains all the information you need to know about using the IUIPI Tag.

IMPORTANT TIPS

1. Prevention of Misuse: When using the tracker, it’s essential to respect the privacy of others. Do not covertly implant the tracker into someone else’s belongings or track individuals without their permission. Compliance with privacy laws and regulations is necessary.

2. Legal Purpose: Ensure that the use of the tracker serves a legitimate purpose and complies with local laws and regulations. Unauthorized tracking of others may constitute privacy infringement or legal violations.

3. Loss Prevention: While the tracker can help retrieve lost items, it’s still important to safeguard belongings to prevent theft or other losses.

4. Waterproof Functionality: This tracker is equipped with waterproof capabilities for daily life.
   Do not remove the waterproof sleeve of the tracker or expose the product to water or other liquids, as this may damage the tracker or reduce its performance. Avoid contact of the tracker with water, rain, sweat, or other liquids to ensure its normal operation and prolong its lifespan.

5. Pairing with the Tracking App: When pairing the tracker with the tracking app, it requires a connection to Apple servers. If pairing issues occur, it’s generally due to temporary inability to connect to Apple servers from your network. Try switching between different networks, such as Wi-Fi and cellular data, or restart your iPhone.

6. Battery Safety: The tracker contains a built-in battery. Avoid exposing it to high temperatures or near sources of fire to prevent battery damage or leakage. When replacing the battery, use the specified type of battery and dispose of old batteries properly.

a) Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
b) Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
c) Call a local poison control center for treatment information.

f) Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
g) Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above (manufacturer’s specified temperature rating) or incinerate.
Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
Products with replaceable button/coin cell battery
a) Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
b) Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
c) Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
d) Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.
Tips: When using the Apple Find My application to locate this
product, please ensure that your device is running the latestversion of the iOS, iPadOS, WatchOS, or MacOS operating system. This application is only compatible with Apple-branded devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, and Macbook. Use the operating system version compatible with your product and ensure that your device is logged into your Apple ID for location services.

Operating Instruction

First-time Use

1. Unpack the product and remove the IUIPI Tag along with its accessories.
2. Before using the IUIPI tag, please read the user manual carefully to understand the product’s operation, maintenance, and safety requirements.
3. After receiving the product, please first pull the insulation sheet upward, so that the product can be safely powered on and used normally.
4. Please refrain from arbitrarily flipping the product casing or disassembling product components, as this may result in product damage.
5. The IUIPI Tag product is labeled with a QR code, which, when scanned, allows you to watch a video tutorial on product usage steps. Simply remove the waterproof sheath, scan the QR code, log in to the video website, and easily understand the product’s pairing and connection methods.

Usage Steps
Step 1: Power On the Product

1. Press and hold the product button for 5 seconds until the product emits two beeps, indicating it has powered on. Double-click the button to confirm the product emits a prompt sound.
2. Open the “Find My” app built into your Apple device, ensuring stable network connection throughout the entire connection process.

Step 2: Pairing the Product

1. Open your Apple device (must be logged into “Apple ID”), go to Settings, and confirm that “Bluetooth” is enabled. Open the Find My app, click on “Add l tem” enter the search mode, and find the IUIPI Tag product. Tap “Connect”.

2. After entering a custom name for the item and selecting any emoji, click “Continue.” You will be prompted to agree to register the product to your Apple ID. Click “Agree” to proceed to the completion interface. Click “Finish” to return to the main interface. Once in the main interface, the battery level of the IUIPI Tag will be updated.

3. After successful pairing, check the item list to view the battery status. Click “Play Sound” to hear the product emit sound, confirming normal operation with two prompt beeps. Note:
   The above steps are demonstrated using an iPhone as an example. Similar procedures can also be followed for iPad, MacBook and other Apple device.

4. Swipe down to confirm that the manufacturer, serial number, model, and firmware version are displayed completely.

Function

Function 1: One-Click Product Search
When your phone (or other Apple ID devices) is within wireless range of the IUIPI Tag (about 20 meters), you can use the “Find My” application in the app to play a sound. The IUIPI Tag will emit a sound, helping you quickly locate the item bound to the product.

Function 2: Global Positioning

1. Open the Apple ID “Find My” app and select the “Items” tab.
2. Select the tracker you want to use from the list (the custom name you assigned earlier).
3. Click on the item icon, and the tracker’s emoji will be displayed on the map.

Click on the “Directions” button in the app to locate and navigate to the location of the product. Function 3: Lost Item Reminder
You can attach this product to anything you need to keep an eye on. When your item is out of wireless range, the product will send you an alert within a short time (Notifications Settings must be turned on in advance) so that you can return and
retrieve the item.

1. Open the built-in “Find My” app on your Apple device, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to “Items,” and then click on the “Name” of the item.
2. Below “Notifications,” click on “Notify When Left Behind.” Follow the on-screen instructions, click “Done” to complete.

Function 4: Enable “Lost Mode”

1. Open the native “Find My” app on your Apple device. Scroll down to “Items” at the bottom of the screen, then tap on the item’s name.
2. Below “Lost Mode,” tap on “Enable.” Follow the on-screen nstructions, tapping “Continue” to enter your contact phone number or email. Tap “Next” to review the information, then tap Enable again to finalize the setup.

Function 5: Tracking
Tracking Location:
Once your product is successfully paired with your Apple ID, you can place it on items such as the aged, children, pets, luggage, etc., allowing you to remotely track their locations. This ensures that you can easily locate them, whether in emergencies or during daily activities. By utilizing the product’s pairing feature, you can maintain the safety and controllability of the people and items that you care about.
Tracking Reminder:
With the IUIPI Tag paired, it will continue to emit a double beep sound if it remains out of wireless connection range for approximately three days. This feature is designed to remind the carrier if the IUIPI Tag is moved, preventing others from attempting to track you without your knowledge.
Deleting the Product
Removing While Powered On:
Open the built-in “Find My” app on your Apple device. Tap on “Items” at the bottom of the screen, then select “Remove Item.” Tap “Remove” to confirm, and upon completion, the product will emit a beep sound, indicating successful removal.
Note: After removal, the product will emit a beep sound and remain powered on, entering standby pairing mode. If the product is not paired again within 10 minutes, it will exit the pairing state, and the product will not be able to pair with the app. To pair the product again, simply “double-click” the product button once to emit a beep sound, indicating it has entered pairing mode, allowing you to re-pair it with the app.  Removing While Powered Off:
In the Apple “Find My” app, removing the product will prompt a message: “Item Not Found. Removing this item will allow it to be set up and used by another person and it will no longer be linked to your Apple ID.” If you need to re- pair and connect, you’ll need to reset the product to factory settings (details as below Factory Reset), then search and re-pair it. Note: Not to remove it while offline, it may lead to cumbersome and time-consuming operations.

Factory Reset

Product no sound buzzer when power off.

Pair with a new ID.| The product is now ready to pair with a new ID.

How to replace the battery:
a.Remove the waterproof sheath.
b.Use your hands to pry open the case from the position of the buzzer. Use other small tools if necessary to push the old battery out of the battery holder.
c.After removing the old battery, install the new button cell battery (standard battery available at supermarkets) with the positive side facing upwards.
d.Align the product case with the correct slots, place it flat, and install the case securely. Put on the waterproof sheath, then power on and use it.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. External Cleaning:
   Gently wipe the surface of the tracker’s case with a soft cloth or cotton swab to remove dust and dirt.
   If not in use for an extended period, clean and dry the product, then store it in a dry and ventilated place to prevent moisture.
   Avoid using cleaning agents containing chemical components to prevent damage to the special coating or logos on the surface of the casing.

2. Battery Management:
   Regularly replace the battery of the tracker according to usage frequency and manufacturer recommendations. Use batteries that meet the specified requirements and ensure proper installation and removal methods.

3. Waterproof Check:
   Ensure that the waterproof sheath is not lost, deformed, damaged, or dirty to maintain the overall waterproof performance of the product.

FAQ

1.When can the product be located?

When an item is separated from its owner for a period of time, it can be found by other Apple products that are part of the Find My network, and the owner can start to get the location of the product.

2.How to confirm whether the product has been turned on?

Double-click the product button, the product will beep, indicating that the product is working. If the product does not ring, the product is off. Long press the button for five seconds to turn it on.

3.How is the product designed to discourage unwanted tracking?

If any Find My network accessory separated from its owner is seen moving with you over time, you'll be notified in one of two ways: a. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, Find My will send a notification to your Apple product. This feature is available on iOS or iPadOS 14.5 or later. b. If you don't have an iOS product or a smartphone, a Find My network accessory that isn't with its owner for a period of time will emit a sound when it's moved. These features were created specially to discourage people from trying to track you without your knowledge.

Only you can see where your item is. Your location data and history are never stored on the item itself. Products that relay the location of your item also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way. So not even Apple knows the location of your product or the identity of the product that helps find it

6.What is the Find My network? And how does it work?

The Apple Find My network provides an easy, secure way to locate compatible personal items on a map using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or the Find Items app on Apple Watch. Simply pair your compatible product with the Apple Find My app to view it right along side your Apple products. If your item ever goes missing, you can put it in Lost Mode to display a message and contact information to anyone who might find it. The Find My network is encrypted and anonymous, so no one else, not even Apple, can view its location.
