- Turn the [STEREO EXPAND] switch ON for both amps.
- None of the knobs on amp #2 respond in this case, except for the [MASTER] knob and the [POWER CONTROL] switch.
19 POWER AMP IN jack
Plug in to this jack for direct signal input to the power amp without going
through the KATANA preamp. This lets you input sound from an external preamp
or sounds you created using a multi-effect unit with a built-in amp simulator
and the like, for example.
When using the POWER AMP IN jack, the [PANEL] button lights up green (or red,
when the [STEREO EXPAND] switch is ON).
- None of the knobs affect the sound input to this jack, except for the [MASTER] knob and the [POWER CONTROL] switch.
- Set the [STEREO EXPAND] switch to “OFF” if you are not using two KATANA units for a stereo connection.
- You can’t use the POWER AMP IN jack and the INPUT jack at the same time. If a cable is connected to both jacks, the INPUT jack takes precedence.

of this unit to your computer. You can also use dedicated app to edit the
settings of the internal effects (p. 14).
- Do not use a USB cable that is designed only for charging. Charge- only cables cannot transmit data.

Connect your headphones here. You can obtain powerful guitar amp sounds just
as if you were playing through the speaker. Use the [MASTER] knob to adjust
the volume.
- If a plug is inserted into this jack, no sound is output from the amp speaker. This is convenient if you don’t want loud sound to be produced from the speaker, such as when you’re practicing at night.

sound just as if you were playing through the speaker.
You can use this in conjunction with an external PA system, or to record your
performance via direct line while monitoring the sound from this unit’s
speaker.
Adjust the output level using the [VOLUME] knob.
Since the [MASTER] knob does not affect the output, you can turn down the
[MASTER] knob so that sound is output to a connected device without any sound
being produced from the amp itself.
- To prevent malfunction and equipment failure, always turn down the volume, and turn off all the units before making any connections.
LINE OUT (XLR) connector, [GND LIFT] switch
Artist, Artist HEAD only
You may hear loop hum noise (a low hum) when external devices are connected to
this unit.

for about one second.
When BANK B is selected, the [PANEL] button blinks slowly.
Turning the power on/off
- Once everything is properly connected (p. 5–p. 7), be sure to follow the procedure below to turn on their power. If you turn on equipment in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction or equipment failure.
- Before turning the unit on/off, always be sure to turn the volume down. Even with the volume turned down, you might hear some sound when switching the unit on/off. However, this is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
- Make sure that the [MASTER] knob of this unit as well as the volume of any connected devices are set to “0”.
- Before connecting your instrument to the unit’s INPUT jack, set the [MASTER] knob to the minimum setting (far left).
- Turn on the power of this unit.
- Turn on the power of the devices connected to the LINE OUT and PHONES/REC OUT jacks.
- Adjust the volume levels of the devices.
Before switching off the power, lower the volume on all connected devices and then turn off the power of this unit (the reverse of when you switch this unit on).
If you need to turn off the power completely, first turn off the unit, then unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

1. With the BT-DUAL’s Bluetooth indicator off, press the pairing button.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the mobile device. MEMO
- If you were unable to connect using the steps above, tap “KATANA 3 Audio”, displayed in the Bluetooth device screen of the mobile device.
- To disconnect, press the pairing button on the BT-DUAL to make the Bluetooth indicator go dark, or turn off the mobile device’s Bluetooth function.
