INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
This laser is a high precision measuring device. Use this unit strictly following the following instructions to ensure optimal performance.
- Do not point the device towards the sun or other bright light sources, this will give erroneous or inaccurate measurements.
- Do not use the device in harsh, humid, dusty environments. Prolonged exposure to adverse environments can damage the internal components of the device or cause erroneous measurements.
- Do not operate the device in an explosive atmosphere, for example in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. The device produces sparks that can ignite dusts or vapours.
- When the appliance is confronted with a sudden temperature change, it can only be used when it is calibrated at its new temperature.
- IMPORTANT: adverse conditions can shorten the range of the measurement and reduce its accuracy (e.g. high solar brightness or a very bright working environment, a surface to be measured with low reflectivity, high surface area reflective, or rough surface, on light coloured liquids, clear glass, polystyrene foams or low-density objects). Under these conditions it is recommended to use this instrument with a target (i.e. a white wall or a sheet of white paper); otherwise the risk of measurement error will be increased.
- Check the accuracy of the device before reusing it whenever it falls or is compressed.
INTENDED USE
The product is intended for use indoors for the measurement of distances, lengths, heights, spacings.
LASER MEASURING
- Press the MEAS button (2) to activate the device. Both the LCD screen and the beam will turn on.
- Press the UNIT button (1) to select your measure plan: distance, volume or area.
- Press the MEAS button again (2) to trigger the distance measurement. You can choose your measurement position accordingly: level, vertical or diagonal line.
- Measurement value will display immediately on LCD screen (laser point will blink while measuring) Start a new measurement by pressing the button again and re-activate the laser beam, then repeat the above step (3).
- Short press the UNIT button (1) (about 1 second) to switch the distance/volume/area. Long press the UNIT button (1) (about 3 seconds) to switch the metric/inch.
- Press MEAS (2) and UNIT (1) buttons simultaneously to change the base line: front or back.
- Long press the MEAS (2) button (about 5 seconds) to power off the device.
Note: the laser beam and the device turn off automatically after 30 seconds (beam) and 3 minutes (device) respectively to save the battery. Press again the MEAS (2) button to reactivate it.

DO NOT expose the device to frost or extremely hot environment, or subject it to external compression or long-term vibration.
It is necessary to store the device indoors and place it in its packaging when not in use.
Keep the device protected from dusty and humid environments.
Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
Use a clean, soft, moderately damp cloth, soaked in clean water and wrung out, to clean the unit.
DO NOT use corrosive or volatile substances for cleaning.
Take care of optical components (such as laser receiving lens and emitting laser beam) as if it were glasses or camera lenses.
The optical components can be wiped with a clean, soft cloth or a cotton swab dipped in distilled water and then wrung out.
DO NOT touch the lens of the device with your hands.
Check the battery level of the device regularly.
