My Razer mouse does not track properly or the cursor moves on its own
There are two common reasons for such an issue to occur. It’s either the mouse sensor is blocked by dirt or other solid material that interferes with it, or it needs to reset its surface calibration. Below are the steps you can use to fix the issue.
For all Razer Mice:
-
Unplug the mouse from the computer.
-
Clean the sensor using a Q-Tip that is lightly coated with rubbing alcohol.
-
Let the sensor dry for 5 minutes and try the mouse again.
-
To further isolate any problems, you can try the mouse in another USB port or another computer.
For Razer Mice that feature Surface Calibration:
If cleaning the sensor couldn’t correct the issue, it may have been improperly calibrated. To recalibrate your mouse’ Surface Calibration, follow the steps below:
-
Plug the mouse to your USB port.
-
Place the mouse flat on your mouse mat or your usual surface.
-
Hold down the left-click button, right-click button and mouse wheel button simultaneously for 7 seconds to reset the calibration.
