HAPPY HENHOUSE Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener Kit
Instruction
The package includes the following parts (as shown in the following figure):
- a. front panel
- b. control box
- c. battery compartment (4x AA batteries)
- d. 4 x M2 x 12 tapping screws
- e. 4 x M4 x 40 flat head screws
- f. silicone seal
TIP: A phillips screwdriver is required for assembly and disassembly.

Remove the silicone seal from the zip lock bag. Press the silicone seal into the recess around the edges of the inside of the front panel, start from the bottom center and work your way round the front panel, cut off the excess length.

Insert the batteries into the battery compartment and then place it into the control box. Do not use 9V batteries and lithium ion batteries. Attach the battery connector to the battery compartment.

Connect the motor connection wire connector to the corresponding position on the circuit board. Then use four M4 x 30 flat head screws to screw the front panel to the control box.

Install the assembled device above the door. The distance between the bottom of the device and the top of the door when open should be approx. 10-12 cm, as shown in the below diagram. Secure it with the four tapping screws. Installation is now complete.

Setting
System time setting (24-hour)
before setting, tie the end of the rope to the door and make sure the rope is
tight. If the rope is loose, the internal rope may get stuck.
- Press any key to light up the screen, and then press Oto enter the settings.
- Press -t /.,I.to set the hour when the hour flashes, press Oto save and enter the minute setting.
- Press -t / .,I. to set the minute when the minute flash, press O to save and enter the next step [ 01 Opening height calibration].

both STEP 01 and 02 need to be completed. If both are skipped, the previous setting will be maintained. If you encounter an E4 error, please perform a reset and start again.
- The icon Iii is displayed, and the opening Gif is displayed on the right as shown below. Press -t / ,I, to adjust the door height until the door is fully open.
- Press to save and enter the next step [ 02 Closing height calibration].
Closing height calibration
- The icon Iii is displayed, and the closing Gif is displayed on the right as shown below. Press ,I, to adjust the door height until the door is fully closed.
- Press save and enter the next step [ 03 Opening mode setting].
Opening mode setting
- The icon 6 is displayed, and the coop door icon is fully open, as shown below. Press -t / ,I.. to switch between the various modes, the top icons ei -¢ will also change to indicate the selected mode.
- Press to select the required mode and enter its settings.
Manual This mode is to halt the automatic opening of the coop door. You would have to open the door manually by pressing -t / ,I… It’s useful if your birds do not develop the habit of returning to the coop. When icon 6 flashes, press O to save. This mode is for automatic opening of the coop door in the morning at the time you have set, as shown on the following figure.
Closing mode setting

The icon e:i is displayed, and the coop door icon is fully open, as shown below. Press -t / ,I, to switch between the various modes, the top icons
will also change to indicate the selected mode. -
Press C) key to select the required mode and enter its settings.

After the closing mode setting is completed, the screen displays SAVE, indicating the end of the setting up process. After that, the screen will power down in 120 seconds later to save battery.
TIPS:
- The screen will always be on when the setting is not completed, and the battery consumption will be high.
- No matter what mode is set, you can open/ close the door manually by pressing -t / ..a.,
- During the setting up process, the battery level icon IITID is not displayed. You can judge whether the setting up is in progress by looking at this icon.
- The main interface will display the system time and the mode. For example, if the door opening setting is Timer and the closing is Mix, then the main interface will display both the Timer and the Mix ·X, icons.
Use& Maintenance
The four screws fixing the front panel and control box need to be tightened to
prevent water issues.
Installing the device indoors will affect the accuracy of the Sensor and Mix
modes.
Frequently lighting up the screen will increase battery drain.
When the door is opening or closing, the following screen will be displayed
until it has finished.
During either opening or closing, the opener won’t stop automatically. If the
door is stuck, the opener will try to clear the problem three times. If still
stuck, error code “El” appear and the door will stop.
If you’d like to test that the door will open and close using the light
sensor, simply choose Sensor mode for both opening and closing. Hold your hand
over the sensor for 4 minutes to simulate darkness and the door will close.
Remove your hand and the door will open 4 minutes later.
After replacing the battery, it’s recommend to press
-t / ,1.. to open and close the door once to check it is working properly.
Pull and plug the terminals on the motor connection cable, as shown below .
If the screen does not light up when pressing any key, please check the
battery connection and battery status.
Press -t /”” , if the door does not move and the screen does not light up
properly, then please check the motor cable connection.
If the battery icon D appears, it means your batteries’ levels are getting
low and you will need to replace them soon.
If the icon Lt, appears, please recalibrate the height of the door.
It’s recommend to install the opener in a dry place away from any rain. This
will prolong the life span of the opener.
