If you are experiencing No/Low Suction, follow these steps to resolve:
-
Turn off and unplug machine
-
Remove & empty Dirty Water Tank
- Firmly push the plug back into place
-
Open latch where the Dirty Water Tank empties and feel for suction
- If there is still no suction, check to see if the float freely moves by turning the Dirty Water Tank upside-down several times
- If the float does not freely move, the dirty water tank needs to be replaced > Go to Parts & Supplies
- If the float does freely move, securely lock the latch back down
-
Turn machine on > Place a flat hand over the Motor-Duct Opening under the Dirty Water Tank and feel for suction
- If there is no suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
-
Check for the black “duck bill gasket” on bottom of dirty water tank and pull it out
- Squeeze open the flat-end to open the gasket
- If gasket is missing, does not open, or is damaged, a new one will need to be ordered > Go to Parts & Supplies
- The tall side of the gasket should be inserted into the right, curved outer-side of the Dirty Water Tank
-
Put Dirty Water Tank back onto machine
-
Plug machine in and turn on to test for suction
