• Empty the dirt container

  • With dirt container removed, check for suction at the motor duct

    • Turn machine on
    • Place your hand over the grill/opening on the bottom
    • If no suction at the motor duct, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us

  • Verify the filter screen and pleated filter are clean

  • The filter screen may be rinsed in water

    • Completely air dry before reinstalling

  • The pleated filter should be tapped out after every use – it is NOT washable

  • Confirm filter assembly is installed correctly

  • Confirm dirt container is attached to the machine properly

  • Filter assembly should be flush with dirt container and not sticking out

  • The dirt container can snap onto the machine without having the bottom attached

  • Ensure both the bottom and top of the dirt container are attached to the machine

  • Verify the attachment/hose isn’t clogged

  • Remove the attachment and check for any debris

  • Use a Q-tip or finger to clean any clogs in the attachments

    • A broom stick may be used to clear clogs from the hose tool
    • If there is still no suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
