Empty the dirt container
-
With dirt container removed, check for suction at the motor duct
- Turn machine on
- Place your hand over the grill/opening on the bottom
- If no suction at the motor duct, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us

Verify the filter screen and pleated filter are clean
-
The filter screen may be rinsed in water
- Completely air dry before reinstalling

The pleated filter should be tapped out after every use – it is NOT washable
-
Confirm filter assembly is installed correctly

Confirm dirt container is attached to the machine properly
-
Filter assembly should be flush with dirt container and not sticking out

The dirt container can snap onto the machine without having the bottom attached
-
Ensure both the bottom and top of the dirt container are attached to the machine

Verify the attachment/hose isn’t clogged
-
Remove the attachment and check for any debris
-
Use a Q-tip or finger to clean any clogs in the attachments
- A broom stick may be used to clear clogs from the hose tool
- If there is still no suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
