Unplug machine
-
Remove dirt tank by sliding the Lock ‘n Seal lever to the unlock position and pulling straight out

Empty dirt tank

Remove cyclone from upper tank by twisting to unlock and pull down
- Cyclone and screen can be separated for cleaning by pulling apart
- Both can be cleaned with water and mild detergent
- Allow to air dry completely before reinstalling in machine

On select models, twist the Dirt Tank Filter Frame to the left to remove the frame and Upper Tank Filter
- Wash the filter with water and a mild detergent
- Let it completely air dry before placing back in the machine

Pull out the filter tray located below the dirt tank and wash the pre-motor filter with water and a mild detergent
- Allow to air dry completely before placing back in the machine

Open the filter door on the back of machine and remove the post-motor filter
- Tap this filter against a waste bin to remove excess debris
-
Remove the upholstery hose from the back of the machine by twisting the top left corner to the left to unlock and pulling the hose up from the bottom
- Run a broom handle through the hose to remove any clogs

Remove the Lift Off pod from the base using the Grab and Go button

Recline the handle of the base and check the lower hose for clogs
- Run a broom handle through lower hose to clear any clogs

With the machine unplugged, turn the machine over so brush is facing up
-
Remove the 6 screws that hold on the Brush Access Plate

Check the brush and belt for damage
- The brush should easily spin by hand
- The belt should be intact
- If part is damaged, it will need to be replaced
