Using the scent cartridge is optional

Slide the filter out of the dirt cup

Remove the filter from the separator by gently twisting and pulling apart
-
Take the plastic sleeve off the scent cartridge
-
Slide the scent cartridge firmly into the end of the separator
-
Replace filter onto separator and return to dirt cup
-

It is recommended to change the scent cartridge monthly
