On a 2 wire system with just a red and yellow wire (propane fire with fan), should the yellow go on W or C?
On a two wire system (just heat) typical color coded wires are Red and White. Red or R is power. You have to check the wiring on the furnace to see if it’s connected to R. Just because it’s Red doesn’t meant it’s connected properly on the unit. Then your white wire would go to W respectively. If you have a yellow wire for some reason because that’s what color someone else ran as long as it is on W at the furnace connect it to W on the thermostat. For a T-3 is also needs power to work I can’t remember if it has battery’s for power. If no batteries for power you will need to run another wire from C on the unit to C on the thermostat. ( common power). Yellow colored wire is typically used to switch on an outdoor A/C unit. Again color of wire is not so important as long as the wires are connected to the respective terminals on heating equipment and thermostat
What is the difference between the t2 and t3 model?

Power off the thermostat and remove the batteries. Put the batteries in the wrong way, with negative to positive and positive to negative. Wait ten seconds and put them back in the correct way. Your thermostat will be reset to factory settings.
What is temporary hold on Honeywell thermostat?
The temporary hold setting is when you change the temperature setting to a different temperature and it stays at that setting until the next schedule change. The permanent hold setting holds the temperature setting you have chosen for an indefinite time. This overrides your scheduled settings.2
How do you manually reset a thermostat?
Common methods for resetting a thermostat include installing the battery backward for five seconds, pushing a recessed reset button with a pin or paper clip, or shutting off the breaker to the thermostat for 30 seconds.
How long does temporary setting last on Honeywell thermostat?
A temporary hold will keep the HVAC system set to the held temperature for a temporary period of time of less than 12 hours or until the hold is cancelled. A permanent hold will keep the HVAC system set to the held temperature permanently, until the hold is cancelled.
Why Does My Honeywell thermostat say permanent hold?
A permanent Hold will keep the temperature held at the set level until it is manually overridden by changing the temperature. It will never expire on its own.
