Safety instructions

Intended use

This device is used as a one-channel dimmer control for inductive loads. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.

Danger for children

 Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.

Where to use the product

Never use the product

  • in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
  • in extremely dusty or dirty areas
  • at locations where the unit can become wet

General handling

  • To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
  • Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or flammable cleaning agents.

  1. FUSE: Fuse holder
  2. LED: shows the channel intensity
  3. Slider: controls the intensity between 0 and full
  4. FLASH: button for full output signal

Connections

  1. To connect the device, screw open the housing.
  2. The pre-punched holes on the back of the unit can be broken up and used to feed through the cables.
  3. Connect the load to be controlled to the terminals ‘LOAD’.
  4. If desired, connect an external control (0 – 10 V) to the ‘LINK UP’ terminals.
  5. Make sure that the power cord to be used is not connected to the mains. Then connect the wires of the power cable to the terminals ‘AC IN’.
  6. Orient yourself by the graphic on the right if you want to interconnect up to 5 devices.
  7. Set the switch behind the ‘LINK UP’ terminals to the ‘LINK’ position to operate the unit in Slave mode. Set the switch to the ‘SEL’ position to operate the unit in Master mode.
  8. Close the device housing and refit the screws.
  9. Connect the power cord to the mains.

Using the product

  1. Control the connected load with the slider. The LED indicates the current intensity.
  2. Press the FLASH button for full output.
  3. After use, unplug the power cord from the mains.
