COMPACT & POWERFUL USB-C SSD

The Tuff nano Plus is a portable bus-powered USB-C storage device with an internal PCIe SSD. Not only is the Tuff nano Plus compact, it also provides up to 2TB capacity, in addition to performance unmatched by anything in its class.

General Use Warnings

  • Please read the Tuff nano Plus manual thoroughly and familiarize yourself with the product before use.
  • Avoid using the Tuff nano Plus in extremely hot and cold environments. A safe temperature range is between 32°F – 95°F (0°C – 35°C).
  • Avoid using the Tuff nano Plus in humid environments. Moisture and condensation can accumulate in the device and cause damage to the electrical components.

Safety Warnings

  • Keep the Tuff nano Plus away from liquids and moisture. Exposure to liquids can result in damaging the unit, electric shock, and result in a fire hazard.
  • If your Tuff nano Plus gets wet while it is still off, do not turn it on. In the case of any issue with the device, do not attempt to repair or open the device yourself. Doing so can result in personal injury, damage the device, and will void the warranty. If you have any issues, please contact CalDigit Technical Support.

Using the Tuff nano Plus

Connecting the Tuff nano Plus to mac OS

  1. Turn on the computer and make sure you are logged into your OS.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable to the Tuff nano Plus and to the computer.
  3. The Tuff nano Plus will mount on the computer.using product

Formatting the Tuff nano Plus for Windows OS

The CalDigit Tuff nano Plus is pre-formatted for Mac OS X and ready to work. Windows users please re-format your Tuff nano Plus for use with Windows OS.

WARNING: Before re-formatting your Tuff nano Plus please back-up any data on the Tuff nano Plus onto another drive. Re-formatting a drive will delete all data on the drive. Only proceed if you have backed-up.

  1. Connect the Tuff nano Plus to your Windows computer with the appropriate cable.
  2. Open Disk Management (Control Panel – Administrative Tools – Computer Management – Disk Management).
  3. Find the Tuff nano Plus that you want to format in the list of drives. Right click on the “Disk Number” and select “Properties”.
  4. In Disk Management, right click on the partition that was previously formatted for Mac and select “Delete Volume…”.
  5. On the pop-up window click “YES” to delete the Mac partition.
  6. When the disk comes online, right click on the “Unallocated” area and select “New Simple Volume”.
  7. The “New Simple Volume Wizard” pop-up window will appear. Follow the simple on-screen instructions to finish formatting your Tuff nano Plus.
  8. The Tuff nano Plus will mount on your Windows computer.

Note : USB-C and Thunderbolt™ 3 users must use the supplied USB-C cable, a certified USB-C cable (10Gb/s) or a Passive Thunderbolt™ 3 cable or a Thunderbolt™ 4 cable.

IP67 Protection
The Tuff nano Plus features IP67 (Ingress Protection) that allows the devices to be protected from water and dust.

Immersion Protection
The Tuff nano Plus can be fully immersed in water up to 1M for 30 minutes.
WARNING: Exceeding the distance of water immersion past 1M, for a duration of over 30 minutes could lead to data loss.

Drop Protection
The Tuff nano Plus can withstand drops up to 3M.drop
